Jim's U-Fish At Old McDebbie's Farm

Good: After several years of driving by Jim’s U Fish and Old McDebbie’s Farm on the way home from Silver Lake Resort my wife and I actually took a giant step and made the turn off and checked the place out thinking it might be a wonderful place to take our 5 and 9 year old grand daughters to catch their first fish. Today was the day and it was one of the most memorable experiences that my family will ever have. We arrived from Federal Way at 10:30 AM, fished for several hours, caught 14 trout that we just finish. Bad: eating for dinner the same day. We did the trails, barn tour, horseback riding and picnic lunch on the premises. Some people may think it’s expensive but we could have gone to Silver Lake, spent $40.00 on boat rental, not caught any fish and driven home disappointed because we didn’t do so well. For 6 people our cost for the day was $102.00 including the 14 trout and all the good times. Where else could you spent $17.00 per person and have such a quality day. It’s something we will all remember for years t. Improvements: It's great just the way it is. Other: Thanks again for a perfect day !!!. more

We planned a birthday party here, only to be charged an extra fee for leaving late without ever having been warned. It is also MUCH cheaper to pay for everything individual, not in the birthday package. If you purchase a party for $200, you are apparently expected to leave after 2 hours. However if you pay $3 per person, you can stay from open to close. They ran a tractor doing a landscape project during our party, kicking up dust on our food and making it very hard for us to visit. The owner was also rude to guests in our party and very rude when I contacted her about what I, and others I have spoken to, consider an unfair charge. There is very little shade and practically no covered areas to get out of the heat, I would NOT recommend this farm! more

This was the best family outing a parent could ask for. Great for young and older children too. Nice wholesome family fun. Everyone caught fish, which made it fun. The kids loved playing with the animals. We'll return to explore more activities such as the pony rides. more

What a wonderful place to enjoy the great outdoors with your children. We took our Daughter 2yrs and Nephew 3yrs and they had a blast fishing, riding the pony, playing on the play ground, visiting the barn animals and we were able to see the Emus while picking out our pumpkin. The owners/staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. We did not get a chance to do the I spy trail so we will be returning for another fun day on the farm! Thanks for a wonderful visit! Jim’s U-Fish is a fun place to take the kids to learn how to fish. You set up your poles on a pond and just sit and wait for the fish to come. When you’re done fishing, the owner’s will clean and bag the fish for you to take home. The grounds are clean and well kept. And there are even farm animals for the kiddies to pet. When the kids get bored of fishing, you can take them over to the playground to burn off some energy; or take them on the nature walk and “I Spy” trails. All in all, a variety of things to do with the kids that can easily take up your afternoon. more
