I spent a year tearing down and rebuilding my 1967 JD112. Paint, engine, belts everything to make it like new. The last thing was to get the transaxle rebuilt. Jims cost of 900.00 was higher than anybody else I called, but he assured me it would be like new. They finished the rebuild in Nov and the tractor sat in my shed. After 2 mos of sitting, there was a large puddle of gear oil on the floor. Called Jim and told him of my situation and after a very long discussion of how I was not cutting grass in Dec he reluctantly took it back to fix it as warranty work. I go to pick it up and the first thing I noticed is that they cracked the shifter housing. He flat out told me he did not care about that and they did not do the damage. I know they did because as my own worst critic I know every paint flaw on the machine. In conclusion I found Jims repair to be a bunch of over priced hacks. Wish I could turn back time. Good luck with this guy.
