Sorry that your estimate was a lot higher than what you would have liked. To be honest with you, even though I've been in the auto repair business for over 30 years I'm STILL suprised at how expensive some repair procedures can be! When I operated my Chevron service station in downtown Pullman many years ago I remember installing alternators for $35. Today, parts and labor for installing an alternator on some makes and models can cost 10 times that amount! Sometimes our estimates are the lowest around and sometimes they are more than "the other guy" but we DO strive to provide Honest Estimates that include all foreseen parts AND labor costs. Although you can often find parts on your own that cost less please keep in mind that professional brands are higher quality, perform better, and come with a parts warranty AND a labor warranty! Our warranty is for three years and can save you a lot of trouble and heartache! Sincerely, Jerry more

We have apologized to Virginia about this and are sorry for the problem. This situation occurred because a new employee (first day on the job) misread a brake meauring device and as a result made a recommendation for brake replacement when it was not yet needed. The training issue was immediately addressed. This unfortunate event was caused by simple human error -not dishonesty. Nonetheless, we apologize for the problem. Sincerely, Jerry more

Dishonest service 7/10/2008

The staff there seemed nice and courteous, but I was given a dishonest estimate of work that I would need to have done. I paid to have my brakes inspected and was told that I needed to have my rear brakes attended to because of pads and drums damage. Additionally, I was told that I needed to have the transmission fluid changed. I took my car to a second place to have the brakes inspected (for free!!!). I was told that my brakes are in very good condition and do not need anything work done at this point. Moreover, the transmission fluid is fine. I had it changed less than a year ago and have barely put 8000 miles on the car since then. Overall, it was a bad experience because of the dishonest estimate and the expensive wiper blades replacement. I'm glad I was able to get another opinion on the brakes because I saved $500 (this includes the rear and front work that I supposedly need for my car). more
