The Roast Turkey Dinner is great 5/8/2008

This has to be one of the best places to eat on the east coast. If you can eat all of the food they give you then you must not have ate for a few days. The food is great, and the service is fast & friendly. The Roast Turkey is our favorite. You also get 2 veggies and a choice of salad or soup with rolls and butter for $9.95. We have been going here for the past 15 years. The place is smokey at times, so if you can't deal with smoke then don't go. Truckers are always welcome, and they do get a lot of them. We always have leftovers for at least 2 more meals (yep... you get a lot of food) They also have a kids menu, and they get a lot of food too. I can't wait until our next visit. This is a real 50's type Diner, one of the BEST you will ever find!!! Pros: Great food and a lot of it with great service. Cons: Smokey and sometimes a little noisy. more

A REAL Diner 5/6/2008

Not for the non-smoker, but a GREAT place - a genuine 1950's diner like I actually frequented in those days. Amazing quantities of good 'home cookin' - a little heavy and nothing fancy - but you won't go away hungry unless the locals, the smoking, buisy waitresses and the ocasional crash of dishware in the kitchen put you on edge. This is a REAL place. Loosen up and go back to the days when everybody smoked, too much food wasn't enough, and if you didn't hassle the waitress a little, you weren't normal. Pros: This is a great old time diner experiance Cons: Not fancy, filled with smoke and locals more

A Must For the Diner Enthusiast 10/21/2005

I loved this diner. Talk about a good deal, they serve up huge portions, for example, the meal I had was Stuffed Chicken Breast, which came with a soup or salad, and two sides, all for only $8.25! I chose mashed potatoes and corn. When I got my meal, the chicken breast was huge! It literally looked like they used a half of a chicken. I got two heaping scoops of mashed potatoes too! I took most of my meal home with me, and it will easily make two or three more meals for me. The ambience was that of any typical retro diner- busy, bustling noises, and easily overheard conversations from the patrons. It had a very homey feel as I took notice to the regulars socializing with the servers. I highly recommend this diner to anyone looking for good food at a great price. Pros: cheap, good food, friendly atmosphere Cons: busy more
