Just had here today. Although seating limited it's well worth it! The food was excellent while the service was prompt and courteous. I found for treat ask the chef to surprise you with a special roll. By far the most delicious roll I've had in a long time. more

I love Japanese products, flavors, textures, esthetic, technology, let's just say I love all things Japanese. I especially love going to the Japanese Market on 79th street. I love sushi & sashimi. Walk in, "Irashaimasse!" That's the traditional Japanese welcome. No hype, no pretense, just a small counter and a few seats. Chef Mishio throws down the best sushi in town.\r \r For more on this review: Visit http://www.epicuriouschic.blospot.com more

Best sushi and best price in the county! 12/21/2008

It's the freshest, and unless you resort to something like Iron Sushi, it's also the cheapest sushi in town by a long shot. He gets special deliveries twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday I think) and those are great days to ask what he might have as a treat. His battera (box mackerel), is one of my personal favorites and something that most places in town don't carry. The sushi salad at under three bucks is a steal. I've been lucky enough to have monk fish liver a couple times plus he has the freshest uni in town. Pros: Best sushi in town Cons: not a place for a fancy dinner -a nice lunch spot (not really a con) more

Edited review..2010 Price & quality leave much to be desired 1/28/2008

I felt the need to come back and change my review of this establishment. For the amount of times and the distance I drive to get to this place, you would think the owner would remember me by now. Unfortunately, I seem to be the doormat customer. The last 3, yes 3, times that I have dined here.. I've noticed other customers receive special treatment while I am served what seems like left overs. I am not asking for special treatment, but don't serve me crap either! At the very least, ACT like you are glad to have another customer! Pros: Price, Quality, Service more
