We have known the Jansen's for over 50 years. They have rebuilt the engines on a '23 Pierce-Arrow Series 33 (no margin for error given the value), a '72 Cadillac Eldorado that we brought up to earlier Cadillac HP specifications, a '24 Ford Model T, and a John Deere "L" mini-tractor for me, plus a couple of small stationery engines. Their word is their bond, and their real expertise in my opinion is with antique equipment, although they will certainly repair your modern vehicle or equipment. Worth the drive down from Chicago with a "project" in the trailer. (I'm a member of the Pierce-Arrow Society, Packards of Chicagoland, the Hudson Club, etc.) more

They are incredibly honest 9/6/2005

I take the vast majority of my automotive repair work here. The family that runs this business has been in businees for decades and they work hard to keep their good name for themselves. They will tell you in any way that can help you to understand what is wrong with your car, what is needed to fix it and any and all costs involved. I have been taking my work there for years and have never been lead wrong. I highly recommend this busines. PROS: working hard to keep their good name CONS: just enough out of the way to make people think about going there more
