In January 2010, I was arrested and falsely accused of domestic violence on my soon-to-be ex-wife at the time. No witnesses, no evidence. I was originally assigned a public defender that really didn't seem to care one way or another what happened. I had A LOT on the line (career, kids, my perfect record, etc). I wasn't willing to gamble my life with a public defender. I researched attorneys and found Mr. Wasson. His vast experience in law from all areas got me hooked. After consulting with him, he decided to take on the challenge. He immediately fixed one huge problem caused by the mandatory restraining order, I could not see my two daughters. He took that as priority one and had the judge change the orders to allow me to see my kids before he dealt with anything else. During the trial, Mr. Wasson performed phenominally. After about a 20 minute deliberation, I was found not guilty. Mr. Wasson took my case personally, as he does with all of his cases. He was respectful to my family and me and treated me like a friend, not a client. I was charged with DUI and Exhibition of Speed in Clovis, CA. Facing loss of driving priviledges and employment, I chose to hire an attorney and contest the charges. I called 20-30 local lawyers and met with the top 10 DUI attorneys. Most of them wanted an outrageous amount of cash up front as well as an ""expense fee"", which was $700-1000 for ""clerical costs"". I finally called Jim Wasson who met with me, (at no cost), and I knew this guy knew what he was doing. We requested a hearing with DMV, (won that hearing), and filed a motion to suppress evidence with the Superior Court (ultimately won that too, case was dismissed). Throughout the whole dang thing, Jim kept me up to date constantly with changes in hearing schedules, inconsistancies he'd found in police reports, ect ect. I've recommended Jim to a couple of my buddies and he gets results. Don't roll over and take it in the shorts, hire an attorney who will earn his fees. I suggest you don't waste your time and money with overpayed downtown attorneys or cheap ""assembly line"" lawyers, and call Jim. All in all, I'm glad I did, I still have my job and a decent driving record! more
