Worst

Good drinks. One excellent steak. One mealy steak. Both ordered the rib-eye, medium rare. Hate to make a scene so we went with it.

you will not bother going anywhere else for a steak unless you enjoy overpaying. try the potato pancakes, you will not be disapointed. more

MMMM good!! 2/10/2003

1st time here and it will not be my last...GREAT full flavored food. Had the shrimp and garlic mash potatoes. A good place to go with your special someone and enjoy a nice romantic dinner. I WISH they would take reservations. It would help us locals out!! Pros: great food, hot fresh, good service, romantic and cozy Cons: go early or you wait, take reservations more

Great Steak 2/5/2003

This is possibly the best steak in the area. I love JaK's. The only problem is they don't take reservations and unless you show up right when they open, you'll have to wait a while. Pros: GREAT steak, good service Cons: no reservations, long waits, tricky parking more

JaKs is the best 11/11/2002

The worst thing about this place is it is always busy so you have to wait and service is not the best. Having said that, it is one of our favorites. Where else can you get filet, baked potato and a salad for $25? Nowhere! However, cheap prices don't mean anything if you are not happy with the food. Trust me when I say Jaks is as good as The Met, Daniels, or Flemings (Flemings is a close second in value). Do your self a favor and go to Jaks, but go early. Pros: value, quality more

Awesome! 10/17/2002

Sure the wait was a bit long due to the fact that you can't make reservations. But it's so worth it! The food here is great! The wine selection is not too shabby either. The potato panckaes are heaven. The steakes are excellant. And after all the good food there is dessert. And to top it all off it's not expensive. We had a great time and will go back as often as possible! Pros: Inexpensive, parkind, Food Cons: No reservations more

Beats Them All - Best Steak Anywhere 9/26/2002

The filet is the most tender, juiciest, flavorful steak I've ever had. Portions are generously sized (petite steaks are 9 - 10 ounces), and are aged perfectly. The garlic mashed potatoes are unbeatable. Definitely worth the wait - or go early and enjoy it before everyone gets there. Drive to Issaquah for this place - you won't be disappointed! One comment - the place could use more street presence... I wouldn't have walked in there if I hadn't read the reviews! Pros: Excellent Steak Cons: Uncomfortable Seating, Street Appeal BLAH! more

Worth the Wait 8/18/2002

The food is absolutely fabulous! My friend had the steak skewers they were awsome and I usually hate steak. The salmon was very reasonably priced and was delish. Takes a while to be seated but they have great side car martini's in the bar! West Seattle's best. Pros: never dry, great service Cons: Wait, salad a little blah more

JaK's has always been a favorite of ours as the eastside location is close to us. The steaks rival those of the steakhouses in Seattle but less expensive. The only problem now is the possibility of a longer wait due to all the positive reviews. more
