Jaguar Ceviche Spoon & Latam Grill

Found this restaurant on Urbanspoon. Liked the reviews so we came. Was close to our hotel. Jaguars did not disappoint! Sat at the bar in front of the Ceviche chef. Food was terrific, service was outstanding. Overall a fantastic meal. Highly recommend. more

Could eat here every evening, and sometimes when I'm in CG I do just that. Ceviche is amazing, I always get my own amazon order of Orientale. Love it. more

The ceviche is out of this world! It's just the best ceviche! It's perfect with a glass of red wine or a beer. I love it! more

First off, the gazpacho soup of the day was amazing and we all enjoyed the large portions of three of their ceviches which were all very good, as well as a margarita. The food was great! Maybe a little pricey, but the biggest flaw is that the spoons or tastings of the ceviche are $2 each, but if you order six in the sampler the cost is $13.... I don't know about you guys but that math seems a little off to me. more

In going to try to be brief. I travel and eat out 3 nights a week. I spend an hour a night researching where to go. Places like Jaguar are the reason I do this. I had their margarita and mojito. I had their ceviche sampler. I had their scallops Norma. I could nt be happier with the food, the drink and the service. Wow. more

I was never a fan of ceviche, but they have converted me. I had the sampler & everything was so fresh & tasty. I ordered the churrasco & it was juicy & delicious. It hardly fit on the plate, it was so big. Service was very good. The restaurant was a little loud but overall a pleasant experience. more

Everything so fresh and flavorful, whether the signature ceviche of the other dishes, nothing disappointed after dining here three times. Happy hour is also a great opportunity to sample the fruity cocktail offerings. Jaguar gets two paws up!!! more

Had the moqueco de camarao, simply awesome. The count sauce had a lot of flavors and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. Will definitely come back and will highly recommend, place to try in Miami. more

The food was great, I had the mahi mahi mango verde, it was the best food I ever had, it's like I died and went to heaven, would definitely come back and highly recommend this place more

the most amazing little place in The Grove! Superb food and a great little waitress (originally from NYC) she really knew her stuff and described every dish in minute detail! We had ceviches, mahi mahi, beef, swordfish, key lime brulee and a chocolate layered desert over 2 visits and couldn't fault a thing! Thoroughly recommended to everyone. We went as a group to Jaguar and were very pleased with the featured ceviche spoon for the evening. It was a little annoying that the waiter dripped my mojito onto me and my husband before serving and didn't apologize. Absolutely save room for the dessert - •Palomas de Cajeta walnuts, sliced fresh bananas and peach flavored mascarpone cheese cream, wrapped in a crêpe served with vanilla ice cream and dulce de leche. This dessert was enough for at least four people, but me and my husband polished it off. more

The most amazing ceviche is at a little place in Coconut Grove called Jaguar! We ordered the Ceviche Spoon Sampler which was six assorted ceviches! My taste buds were in lime juice, cilantro and chile heaven! more

All of the ceviche is amazing, but don't stop there, the tuna sandwich and the skirt steak salad are also both great. Menu has depth and should have something interesting for everyone from the wild to the mild. Don't forget the mojitos... more

I've been to this restaurant a total of three times, however, I will be very honest with you. I have only ever had the same thing every time I go. \r I start my meal with the Ceviche Spoon Sampler, allowing you to taste a sampling of each of the 6 ceviches they offer. Upon trying all of them, I decide which one I like best that evening and order a full serving of it. \r Each dish is so incredibly unique that it will practically beg you to come back to try a different one. \r I'm never disappointed by this dish and would highly recommend it to anyone going. Plus, it's pretty nice on the wallet. more

Recently I was on vacation in Miami. I went to Coconut Grove to eat dinner. First we had chosen to go to the Cheesecake factory. After 1 hour wait, and an astonishing bad response from the manager we decided to go elsewhere.(We were quoted a 20 minute wait for a start, waited 1 hour, then the manager tells me his staff was overloaded. I ask him why were there some empty booths where we could be accommodated and he says he could not make the staff serve in a different station other than their assigned one!! - WOW! ) To my better luck we ended up walking down the main street and found this incredible neighborhood gem of a restaurant. We were greeted courteously, seated promptly, served with much pride by the waiters. The food was incredibly good. Our waiter -Miguel- suggested a wonderful ceviche (The tuna with soy and ginger) to me, and the rest of my party was also very pleased with their plate choices. The price is probably comparable to The Cheesecake factory, but the food quality and presentation way better. Not to mention the atmosphere. I was so happy we had a bad experience with the Cheesecake factory because it lead us to a unique place with soul !! Lesson repeatedly learned: Your neighborhood restaurant will always give you better value for your buck and spirits than a chain restaurant. !! more
