Found the right Dentist 10/14/2010

When moving to a new city, finding the right doctors and dentists can be difficult. I'm glad that I found Dr. Jackson. I found him and his staff to be very professional and thorough. They took extra time with me to get things right. I had delayed finding a dentist and thus had skipped a cleaning, so I really needed someone to go the extra mile. When I walked in for my appointment, I didn't want to smile. When they were done, I was so pleased that I had to give them a hug. although going to the dentist is not my favorite thing, I'm not worried about my next visit because I know I found the right dentist and dental practice. more

Unproffesional way of doing business 11/26/2008

This office's unprofessional practices have cost them the business of my family. I've only been there a few times, but out of the three times the office staff did not confirm two of my appointments. The second time they moved my appointment up and did not tell me, and then had the nerve to assume I was the one in the wrong when I had a dentist appointment card to prove it. Also, if they had confirmed with me maybe this mess could have been avoided, but I suspect that they are desperate for business and thought they'd pull one over on me by squeezing someone else in at my scheduled time. My time is valuable and I think it is very rude to assume otherwise. more

Dishonest Dentist 7/18/2008

Dr Jackson is the least caring and least honest dentist I have ever met in my life. Here is the story, last year he did a root canal on one of my teeth. He began by explaining the procedure of performing a successful root canal, and after less than 15 minutes he said he was done. \r \r I went home thinking I was finished. Unfortunately this was not the case; I called Dr. Jackson the next day and explained to him that I was still having pain and that I need help. They told me, ?oh this is normal and the pain should go a way within a week?. A week passed and the pain got worse. I went to his office and got a prescription for an antibiotic. During that time Dr. Jackson talked me into putting a bridge that would use that root canal tooth as a support. Two weeks had passed by and the pain came back. Dr Jackson said that he did not know what was wrong with it and said that I needed to go to a specialist. I went to see Dr. Hancock, a specialist that Dr. Jackson referred me to, only to find out that the work that Dr. Jackson did was not successful and needed to be reworked to clean out the remainder of nerves and infection. I went back to Dr. Jackson and explained to him what Dr. Hancock found. Dr Jackson denied the failure and claimed that the remainder of nerves would die slowly and the pain would disappear with time. He also said that after he put on the permanent crown the tooth will feel much better. He simply refused to go back into the tooth and clean up the remaining infection. So I took more antibiotic, and hoped that things would get better as he said. The pain never went away. And now it has become even worse! I have been living with an infected tooth for close to a year now. I just went to a new Endodontist and found out that the infection has caused bone decay and now I have only a slight chance of saving the tooth!\r \r I have spent almost $2000 out of my pocket and my insurance paid an additional payment of $2000 for work that was a total failure!\r \r more

Best Dentist and Staff anywhere 5/16/2008

I have been a patient of Dr. Jackson for almost 10 years. The service that I receive each visit is phenomenal. I have used Dr. Jackson for a myriad of different services including: implant on my front tooth, whitening, mouth guard, basic hygiene, and changing out old fillings. I have had my implant for about four years and it is great, it looks and feels very real and it is on a front tooth, but no one knows its an implant. I am 29 years old and my parents are in their 60's, and we all enjoy each and every visit to the office. They are also great about working with you and your finances. Thank you so much. \r G. Adams and family Pros: Staff (Lou and the hygiene staff rock), no pain what-so-ever, expertise, location Cons: parking more

Greatest Dentist Office in Raleigh 5/8/2008

I have always been frightened just by the word Dentist. I built up my courage and called the office of David Jackson because a friend of mine said he was very gental, understanding and did not judge his patients by their dental health or lack there of. I spoke to the front desk guy (later found out he was the office manager) William. William answered all of my questions and calmed my nerves. He even said my first visit would only be $1.00. I at first questioned that. But he was correct. The first visit was only one dollar. I scheduled an appointment knowing that I would ckicken out and not go but I said I would anyway. The office called me a few days ahead of time to remind me of the appointment. I had not forgotten. The night before my first visit, I was so worried that I made myself sick. I called that morning to cancel my appointment. William happened to answer again. He seemed to know what the problem was and he kindly talked to me until I agreed to come in. Once I arrived, I was meet at the front door with open arms and a warm welcome. I meet Dr. Jackson and his wonderful assistant Lou. Lou stayed with me throughout my whole visit. I felt like she and they cared about me and my fears. It had been quite a while since I had been to see a dentist, like years and years. There were a few serious thimgs I needed to have done. This I expected. What I didnt expect was the price. With Williams help, we came up with a good treatment plan that I could fit into my budget and I did not feel pressured into it. Since that first visit, I have slowly begain to not dread going to the dentist. Between the doctor , the staff and a little nitrious oxide, I have gotten my teeth to a place that I am happy with. \r Thank you Ridge Road Family Dentistry. You have helped me more than you will ever know and I will always be grateful. \r \r Doris T.\r Raleigh Pros: High Up more
