I took my 2007 Sonata with 80K miles to the dealership after I started hearing a knocking noise. After they inspected the vehicle, I was informed that all the oil had been drained from the vehicle and the engine was going to lock-up requiring engine replacement. They could not explain why none of the lights on the dashboard were activated by this low oil situation. Because they were not the last place to change the oil, they denied responsibility and stated that replacement of the engine would not be covered under warranty. Throughout the transaction, the staff was professional but they were not empowered to help me in anyway.
