I purchased a very expensive $157 suspended shower rod from this company and although the rod is decent (although not really worth $157) the customer service is atrocious.
The company told me they would cut the rod to order. They did, but in the process they cut off the end cap and forgot to ship it to me. I emailed them this:
"This shower rod was delivered without an end cap. Please send me an end cap ASAP!! Please email me when the end cap is shipped." This was their response: "The end cap is installed on the end of the shower rod. It was shipped installed and enclosed in a plastic sleeve." I was perturbed because it is pretty obvious to tell whether or not the pole has an end cap or not so I responded: "You are mistaken. The rod was cut before shipping. There is no end cap. I am not an idiot. Please send me an end cap ASAP. " I called them this morning to ensure I would be getting an end cap and they said it was shipped out already although they did not bother to respond to the email.
Now for the worst part. My husband installed the rod and while using a battery operated screwdriver one of the screws broke off in the wall. My husband proceeded to complain about the "cheap" screws. Since the rod certainly was not cheap, I called J Sharone's again to ask them to send another screw so that my very expensive rod would have all matching screws.
Guess what? They told me to get screwed myself. The supervisor came on the line and told me that since I wrote them a nasty email they would not send me any replacement screws. She said, "It's called Home Depot, go there". I asked if that was my punishment for pointing out I'm not an idiot. She confirmed that it was. I informed her that I was pretty shocked by the terrible customer service and let her know that I'd be informing my designer so that she would think twice before recommending this company again. The J Sharone's customer rep told me she could care less.
These very expensive rods come with very poor customer service.
