i agree with the other reviews here. Don't do this to yourself, AVOID. They called this morning to confirm that they would be at the house between 4:30 and 6. I left work early in order to be there at the appointed time. They did not show, did not call, and when i tried to call THEM by 6pm they did not answer the phone. They often work as a contractor for American Home Shield, and I would avoid the latter company, too. more

12/15/14 I called my warranty company to have someone come out to fix my dryer. I get a call from J & B to schedule an appt on 12/26/14 between 3-5 pm. Get a call a msg on 12/24/14 to confirm appt. I call them on 12/26/14 first thing in the morning, tell them I am smelling gas periodically from my stove and wondered if they could also do a different work order for that on the same day. Told them I didn't think my warranty company covers gas leaks. They said sure, just tell the tech when he gets there, so I don't make calls to find anyone else to come out for my stove. \r \r 5:15, I call, office closed, so left a msg. Called again at 6:15 left another msg. He was a complete no show and no call. Called next morning at 9:15 am and was told they had no idea he never showed up. Rescheduled me for that day between 4-6. I reminded them I needed the tech to check my stove, again no problem.\r \r Russ calls a little after 4 pm to tells me it will be closer to 6 when he gets there. I took that opportunity to tell him about the stove and the office said he could do that today as well. Said he knew nothing about it and would call office to get a work order for it. \r \r He shows up well after 6, proceeds to tell me he doesn't have the tools to check the stove. Needless to say I wasn't very happy as I could have called someone else the day before to come fix the stove. He checks my dryer and says he has to order the part but can't do that until Monday since no one is open on Sundays. Then comments, never make service call appt. on the weekends, they can't order parts on Sundays. Told him if he had bothered to show up yesterday then the part could have been ordered today. \r \r Told him I was upset about the stove. He says if I'm prepared to pay the service fee, he'll check it. Really, does he think I'm an idiot, says he has no tools and now if I pay he'll check it. Told him I made other arrangements already.\r \r Called warranty company to complain, find out they do cover gas leaks, they sent someone out right away. The guy just needed to tighten the connection from the gas line to the stove. All he needed was my dish soap, water, a bowl and his wrench. Not sure what special tools Russ from J & B needed. \r \r A week later I get a call saying Russ was going to pick my part up that day, so she needed to get me on the schedule. Next available was a week later. I told her considering they mess up with my previous appt and not coming prepared for my stove, they should accommodate me by fitting me in sooner. Made no effort to accommodate, told me she is the one who made the calls when Russ went home sick and she knows she called me. I told her she did not!\r \r Made my appt for 01/9/15 at 3 pm. On 1/8/15 received a message to confirm appt from 1:30 to 3:00. I called them back, told the guy that my appt was for 3:00, but I could be available at 2:30. Said he would make a note of the time. \r \r Appt, day arrives, I get a message at 2:10 that Russ was one his way but realized he didn't have all the parts and the motor is another 2 to 3 days out. I call them back right away.\r \r I asked how can they make an appt and not know they don't have all the parts. Told him I was told Russ was picking up the part the day they called me to schedule the appt. Told me he would see if they can come on Monday to fix it. I told him I have already complained to my warranty company and I would be calling to complain to them again. I also asked to have the owner of J & B call me. Told me he would leave him a note to call. \r \r I called my warranty company, they are filing a formal complaint with their contractors department. She also called J & B told they would have Russ call her.\r \r Two hours later I call J & B since no call from the owner and was told by a female that he never returns calls. So here I am on appt day with no working dryer \r \r Avoid this company, it's been a nightmare dealing with them. more

Terrible Customer Service 4/6/2012

If I could give this company a 0 star I would. I called J&B for repair of my oven. The guy came out, got the part number, and told me he would order the part. A month later I call to see what was going on. The girl said it was on back order and to call back in a week. I called back in a week. Still on back order. Called a third time. Still on back order. We're now a couple of months after the guy came out. Finally, I receive a call from a different woman there that the girl had been incompetent, had never ordered the part, profuse apologies, and the part will now be ordered. Heard nothing until out of the blue I get a message on my home phone that they will be out the next day and please confirm. I work. An hour away from where I live, which is way out in Vail. I didn't get the message until later in the evening when I got home. I didn't call to confirm since I didn't get the message until late in the evening and couldn't take half a day off on such short notice. They sent the guy out anyway. Without my confirmation. And I wasn't there. I called and told them not to send anyone out unless I confirm. And gave them my cell phone number. They leave another message. Again on my home phone. I don't get it until the evening. Again. They send the guy out. Again. I'm not home. Again. I feel bad for the guy who had to drive all the way out to my house but they'd asked me to confirm, I didn't confirm, and they sent the guy anyway. Finally I start checking my messages on my home phone (though I have told them repeatedly to call my cell). I get a message that they'll be out the next day, please confirm. I call, confirm. They guy comes out and puts in the part. After he left, I noticed a grate is missing from the front of the oven (not their fault). I call back, ask them to order the part. They said okay. Not a word from them that the part is in. I call to see if they ordered the part and they said they'd check into it. We're back to J&B scheduling hell. I get yet another message a couple of weeks later--on my home phone--that they will be out the next day and to confirm. I don't. At least this time they didn't send a guy. This happened a couple more times. I decide I'd better take the morning off to be there, call after hours and leave a message. A new twist. I get a call on my home phone in the morning that they have rescheduled me SINCE THEY NEVER HEARD BACK. What? ! I told the woman I had left a message the previous evening and she says ""Oh. Well, we've rescheduled you."" I told her I would be home on Friday and can they put me on the schedule for Friday. She said yes. I said good, I'll be home so make sure you send the guy. I get no confirmation message Thursday night but I'm hoping it's because I told the woman I would be home so they don't have to call to confirm. Still, it would be nice to know when the guy's coming so I call in the morning. A new flavor of J&B scheduling hell: The woman says since they never heard back from me (for a phantom call) they rescheduled me. She doesn't say when. I told her I had spoken with someone them earlier in the week about a Friday appointment and she said that since they've sent their guy out so many times when I wasn't there (apparently my fault) and they hadn't heard from me, they had rescheduled. Apparently it's my fault that they sent their guy out when they didn't get a confirmation call from me that they asked for. I asked for the owner's name and she said she wouldn't give it to me. I have filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau and thought I'd write one here as well. This company's customer service is beyond horrible. more
