Quality Pizza 4/5/2008

Best pizza in Chicago; everything on the menu is pretty good. They don't mess around when putting toppings on the pizza, although I wouldn't recommend ordering more than three. I've been hooked on this place for about about a year and refuse to get pizza anywhere else, ""what are they putting in my pizza?!"" Pros: Everything on the menu. Cons: You cannot dine in. more

Editorial review from GrubHub 1/29/2008

Based on the positive reviews I tried these guys out -- first I tried the special of the day which was veal parmigiana -- so incredibly disgusting that I threw it out after 2 mouthfuls. (Also got the fried mushrooms which had that old oil taste and were soggy, however the jalapeneo peppers were good) 2nd time I tried their pizza and I can't agree with the other writers. Maybe they grew up eating it but as a new customer I found it odd tasting and with an unpleasing texture. Will most likely not be ordering from them again other than if everyone else is closed. more

Mike, a local 11/30/2007

Ok hear is the deal. I have a hard time eating at any place more than two or three times. Alberto's has the best pizza I have ever tasted in chicago. They always have fresh slices ready to go at anytime of the night when all other businesses are closed. The idiots on here posting reviews about the sauce is bland and so forth. He is lying. Maybe he is one of the many eating places on Morse street. I AM ADDICTED to there pizza and wings. I have eaten pizza in many other states as NYC, and in counties as Italy and Sicily. J. B. sweeps them all away. And they will take care of you if you feel that something was wrong with your order. Once I believed my pizza was to cold and they gave me free slices. So if you are new in the area go check them out. Tell them Mike sent you. Pros: Quick services and big slices. Open when no one else is open. Cons: Not open in the early day time. more

Won't find a better pizza north of Foster Ave. 1/12/2007

I can't express how much I miss this place since moving out to the east coast. Easily the best place for a stuffed pie in Roger's Park. Get the tomtato, sausage and garlic for a real gastronomic treat. (That's a good thing.) And don't listen to the haters; JB Alberto's makes a mean pizza you won't want to miss. more

Bland and soggy 7/28/2006

After all the rave reviews, we were sadly disappointed. The sauce was the blandest I've ever had, the whole pizza had little flavor even tho there were ample toppings, and the crust was the consistency of soggy cardboard. Over all vote: communion wafer with canned tomato sauce on top. On the plus side, they were very friendly and delivery was fast, even late on a Friday night. 14"", 3 topping with delivery: $17.19. P.S. our dogs enjoyed it! Pros: lots of toppings, friendly service, fast delivery Cons: bland/no flavor, soggy carboard crust, flavorless toppings more

Delicious!!! 5/5/2005

I must use atleast 5 different numbers to call them and they know each one!!! They have the best pie on this side of town. They are friendly and fast. You can pick up a pizza, even a giant for under 30 minutes.Good on those days you need a quick dinner.I just love them!! Thanks JB Pros: nearby, inexpensive, fast Cons: parking? more

North side fave for delivery pizza 3/8/2005

The huge-sized thin-crust pies from JB's are famous all over Rogers Park. This isn't fancy-pants pizza -- go for sausage or pepperoni. Don't be shocked by the price on the huge pie -- it's bigger than any pizza you've seen before and will serve a crowd. more

The Best Pizza in Chicago 1/20/2005

I grew up 1/2 a block from the place them moved an hour away and I still get pizza there. The fries are great, the pizza is excellent, the ribs are delicious; all they have is good stuff. I wish there were one out in the suburbs! Pros: Inexpensive, Quick, Tasty Cons: , Fattening more

Best in Roger's Park 5/12/2004

You know it's pretty bad when they know your voice. We order from them at least 2-3 times a week. Love their Spinach & Mushroom stuffed pizza. Personally, I really like their thin crust, but the stuffed is incredible. Try the meatball sandwich and always deluxe the sandwiches because the fries are those wonderful steak fries. Pros: Great Stuffed Pizza, Great Sandwiches, Great Daily Specials more

Wonderful! 5/8/2004

Home of the 30 second pizza order! While we don't always order pizza, all the menu items have generous portions, great flavor and excellent value. My kids, who live 60 miles north of me, say it's the best pizza they have ever eaten, period! I second that. ALWAYS delivered HOT in under an hour. I swear they bake it on the way to the house. Deep-dish has perfect balance of ""stuff"" to dough, and the dough is great! We order from them at least twice a month, usally more often. Pros: Fast order, Fast delivery, Best deep-dish Cons: , Thin not as good more

Ok 2/28/2004

Thin curst pizza was kind of bland and one of the toppings we ordered was wrong. 18"" pizza was about $13, plus delivery charge. Pros: Cheesy, Good crust, Rather inexpensive Cons: , Good service people more

Pizza AND Personality 8/19/2002

Sure they have kick-ass pizza. Sure they serve alot of other awesome food too(in case you get the one picky guest who wants a burger while the rest want pizza). Hey, you even get free soda and coupons you can collect to get free pizza. But along with great food you get ordering convenience (they have caller id with all your info on file to expedite ordering!), great hold music(Dean & Frank- Chicago's sons!), they even have the wise guy taking your order. ""Have $11.50 ready with your coupon and watch the delivery driver do the magic before your very eyes"". Every guest I've ever had over says this is ""the best pizza I've ever had"". Try 'em and you'll never even think of Pizza Rut(Hut) and Little Skeezers(Ceasars) again!! Pros: Large delivery area, Good Value, Convenient/easy order Cons: No eat in restaurant, Busy sporting events more
