Ixtapa Restaurant

This is a small chain restaurant and we go to the one in our town often. We were given a gift certificate to the one in Sultan so we planned a date night to go there, figuring it would be basically the same. Boy were we wrong. The staff was rude and acted annoyed that they had to serve us. Quite a contrast from the Monroe Ixtapa that is always warm and friendly and has amazing service! The Sultan one was the complete opposite. Not only was the service slow and bad, but when we gave them our gift certificate, they got nasty and said they wouldn't honor it because they had never signed up with the company that issued the gift certificate. We were shocked at their rudeness so we paid and left. We would NEVER return there. Terrible service! more

The food is fantastic and the service is friendly and quick. Our drinks were monitered and always refilled and dishes cleared in a quick yet unobtrusive manner. The portions are hefty and the mild salsa is to die for, not your watered down enchilada sauce that some of the other Ixtapas have but real chunky flavorfull salsa. The place has a warm atmosphere that encourages people to come back. Pros: great food great service Cons: limited parking more
