Health are monopoly or so it feels~ 3/22/2010

I have been a long time patient of this entity, since its inception, and I have seen many docs and been through the doors more than I have cared to. I am very mixed about this practice as I have seen decrease in quality over the past 2-3 years. For the most part the physicians I see are really wonderful caring docs. However the front line staff and a few of the medical personnel really need a dose of happy juice or something. I know that IMA has invested in their staff to try to accomplish a very user friendly clinic. It appears however that while they have tried the staff did not want to participate or it is "just a job" to them. When you work in health care it is more than "just a job" because you are dealing with people. I realize that people themselves can be difficult. To me the attitude of my health care provider and the staff make the biggest difference in how I will respond to treatment and ultimately feel better. Unfortunately I have many medical issues and I have had more than my share of experiences with many medical procedures and continued medical care. I have talked to the administration in the past and it appears resolved for a bit then slowly becomes just as rude as before. I am not the only one who feels this way. I have talked to many friends, family and others in this community and they all agree. Many feel as though they have too many patients and don't have time. I do realize they have a daily quota which I am sure interferes with the ability to provide quality health care. It is very frustrating because I am the customer and they are working for me and the rest of us. We pay a lot of money to be able to receive the care we do. I just wish I could find a way to tell them all to 'JUST BE NICE" that would be a start. Respond to your patients in a timely manner and don't make them feel that they are bothering you when they call and make them feel like a hypochondriac. Maybe someday this type of facility will exist. Until then I guess we have to be our own advocates. more

Mixed feelings 8/19/2005

I have mixed feelings about the care I have received at my doctor's office. I go to the office Of Drs Lafollette, Andry and Reeves. I have never seen Dr Lafollette, so no complaints there. Drs Andry and Reeves are both very nice. I have encountered some issues, big and small with the office staff, ranging from making me wait for an appointment for an hour and a half to two hours, outright rudeness, and I have even had nurses tell me they were sick before taking my bloodwork. Then after being sneezed on she lost my blood sample! If it were just a time or two I could overlook it but there has been some kind of problem every time I have visited. more
