The Flint Institute of Arts offers classes all year long for all sorts of experience and age levels. They offer everything from ceramics, oil painting, watercolors, pottery, etc. It's a great place to go if you want to just express yourself creatively but need some guidance and structure to do so. They offer classes during the summertime as well that fit perfectly into anyone's schedule. With day or night classes everyone can take a class, and the price is pretty good considering you get a summer's worth of fun and a lot of supplies are provided. I took a pottery class and learned to thrown on a wheel and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The teacher was incredibly friendly and ready and able to help everyone make beautiful creations. The class provided all the glazes and even fired the pots for us! We just had to pay for the clay. It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it!
