Our internet provider, HughesNet uses Installation Technologies as their installation contractor. Initially, I had to wait 14 days for installation. On the morning of the installation, they called and canceled, saying that the driver was sick, and that it would be another 5 days before I could have my installation done. This was 19 days after moving into my new house. On Friday, October 5th I was told that there was a problem with the dish, and they would send someone out on Tuesday. I asked them to send a technician sooner. After going back forth, the operator cursed at me and told me there was nothing else they could do. I sat at home on that day, and did not see a technician. On Monday, October 15th, I received a text message saying that the technician would be here on Tuesday, October 16th. I responded that the time was still workable. At 11:20 on the day of the service, I received a phone call saying that the technician had an accident and that my service would now be on Friday October 19th. The customer service agent again became agitated, but did not use foul language. I spoke with the manager who told me that there was nothing he could do, and that I must have been mistaken in my previous conversation with the customer service agent. I pointed out that this situation happened over and over again with Installation Technologies – long times for service, and continually inability to serve their customers in a timely manner. He was unwilling to make any concessions, and we made an appointment for October 19th, 14 days after the initial recognition of an internet problem. \r
A complaint has also been made to HughesNet. There are other internet options, and since this is the customer service that they offer, we are looking for another provider.\r
