Hi, I'm Ashley. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Virginia, a credential I've proudly held since 2014. My educational journey includes a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University. In 2013, I became a National Certified Counselor, a distinction I maintain actively. My career began as a home-based counselor, primarily working with children and adolescents at Health Connect America. Over time, I progressed to the role of Intake Coordinator, providing supervision to a team of counselors, and handling case management and coordination for the Intensive In-Home program. In 2017, I joined the Partial Hospitalization Program at INOVA's Merrifield Center. In this role, I facilitated group counseling sessions, implementing hospital procedures and policies to support individuals transitioning from hospitalization. My therapeutic approach integrates various disciplines, including psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution-focused, and art expression. I am also a certified trauma-focused therapist. My practice primarily focuses on individuals dealing with mood disorders, trauma, autism, behavioral challenges, parent management training, crisis counseling, family therapy, and communication skills.
