I have worked in the Anti Aging/Beauty industry for many years. As an Esthetician in Plastic Surgery, my hair MUST always look impecable. I am extremly picky, very particular about my hair, my cut and color, all about it, as it is not only very long and healthy but it gives me the power I need to look my best, no matter what I am wearing. Denise has been my hair dresser for 8 years now. I can only say SHE IS JUST THE BEST! I followed Denise to Industry Hair Guru, not because of the previous owner, but because Denise is the most talented, educated, passionate hair dresser I have ever known. To my pleasant surprise, her partner Doreen, whos also an AMAZING talented hair dresser is co-owner, bringing this salon to become the best in Bergen County. The salon itself is EXTREMLY clean, organized, and just impecable. I have NEVER had to wait more than 5 minutes to be on Denise chair inmediately when I arrive to my appointment. From the cappuccino cup, to the attention to details, the knowladge, cleanliness, quality of products, and friendly atmosphere, Industry Hair Guru is JUST THE BEST. I live between NYC and NJ. I attend very exclusive events in the city where I am often asked if I have hair extentions, especially men (don't know why)...I have NEVER needed extensions. I only need Denise! Doreen and Jillian have also colored my hair in the past. ALL AMAZING talented artist! I would call them THE HAIR GODDESSES!!!! more

I moved to the area a few years ago, and it took me a while to find my little favorite spots, and this is one of them! I got referred by a friend who comes here. They are super experienced, senior stylists (I got to know them after I got my hair done the first time, because they are so nice!). My friend had a different stylist than me, but both of our haircuts (and her color) came out so great! The color they used on my friends hair was so beautiful! She said they recommended it for her tone and current color, and it really did come out nice. Now that that lady on Bravo? network left, it's actually worth the price and not some over-priced and over rated affair to get a glimpse of someone quasi- famous from a reality show, out of all things. I got a trim, no color, I don't really dye my hair, and they gave me some layers and some side bangs as a suggestion. I have to say I really love it, now that I've got through the first wash and had to style it myself. My stylist also recommended some products to make my hair a little healthier. I'm not the type of person to buy extra stuff, because I know the products at a salon are really expensive. However, I knew my hair was really in need of some care. especially after a shower, my hair was so hard to comb out. They recommended the BARE minimum of what I would need to get my hair in a really healthy state and it worked. I didn't spend too much and I did not feel forced in someone trying to sell me products, just to sell me products. I would buy the products again after I run out, because they worked on my hair so well. Anyway, I really like this place. It's a great salon, prices are pretty good, and I have fun when I come here every few months to get a trim. It's really nice on the inside too and they give you yummy hot tea! more

I have been coming to this salon for the past few years and I have been getting my hair done by Denise for what seems like forever (years before she started working here). When I first started coming to this salon, it seemed a little outdated and uncared for esp being in Ridgewood and being owned by the one and only Tabatha, but I loved my hair so I kept coming back! Recently, the salon was bought by Denise and her partner Doreen and they have really redone the place! It actually now looks updated and trendy! I have never had a bad experience there and neither have any of the girls I recommended it to! I don't usually write reviews but when I saw the previous review, I had to write my own! I was horrified by it because I know Denise very well and I know all that was written about the salon is a lie! It almost seems like an angry ex employee would write that...but who knows?! My suggestion is come check out the salon for yourself and form your own opinion...you won't be dissatisfied =) more

80.00 for a stylist that had three clients going at once, who never fully focused on me. Did nothing that she said she would do with my hair......made me feel not worthy to be there....cut my hair so badly it will not do anything.....and it is toooooshort! She chopped it off. She never really talked to me instead talked to the other stylists about other employees in the salon, when I spoke she just kept talking to others. When I called to complain noone called me back. Do not go there. more
