Indigo Crow is a great independent restaurant 9/1/2008

In the past several years, my friends and I have had many enjoyable evenings at the Indigo Crow in Corrales. The patio is lovely in the summer, and the interior is cozy in the winter - a great venue. Their food has gotten even better since chef Christina assumed responsibility for the kitchen. During the summer, they have music on the patio; and the jazz lends a festive air to a beautiful venue. Prices are in the middle to upper range; and the atmosphere and food are worth it. Pros: ambience, great food, good music Wednesday & Sunday evenings in the summer Cons: good for only well-behaved children, slightly pricey more

I wouldn't go even after a long walk in the desert 6/8/2008

Walking thru the door my girlfriend and I were immediately made to feel uncomfortable. There was no one there and the guy told us if we didn't take too long we could sit at the table we had chosen outside. He acted as if we were not important customers and the food was over priced-not terribly interesting or well proportioned. An 8$ glass of wine didn't amount to more than a small splash in the glass and the atmosphere was pretentious -the waitstaff- unattentive. What a shame-the location is gorgeous-the building is beautiful-the employees and owners/manager-not so much! Pros: pretty location Cons: everything else more

Not for that price 4/5/2008

We were excited to go the the Indigo Crow for our anniversary. We had reservations that I set up online. The minute we walked in we felt uncomfortable. We were set at a table in the corner of the bar. You would think that a reservation would be placed in a better spot in the restaurant. We were approached by one waiter who said he'd take care of us, then a hostess to apologize for the delay and took our wine order, then another waiter who was very slow. We felt ignored most of the night. Maybe because we were the youngest couple in the place(I'm 27). The food tasted good, but the quality was less than expected for the price. I had the duck which was good, but the rice that accompanied it was way undercooked. My wife's pasta was undercooked, but again tasted great. I could have sent it back, but we were tired of waiting. The Schmmitt Riesling we had was very good. I'm not the type to complain to the manager to get a free meal, I don't like to make a scene and ruin other people's atmosphere. Besides, there was nothing he could have done to get us to come back. We will not be going back. This just reinforced our feeling that you can't get good service anywhere in NM. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Parking more

Great food, wine and atmosphere and an excellent value 2/11/2008

This is my first time writing a review. My wife and I ate at the Indigo Crow on Saturday evening, February 9, 2008 while we were in Corrales. We didn't have a reservation but they accommodated us even though the restaurant was busy. The service and food was fantastic, and there's a great wine list with extremely reasonable prices. We ate at the bar (which gave us a chance to chat with the owners and enjoy the kiva fireplace). We had a great time. My wife had the Mahi and I had a New York Strip, both of which were perfectly cooked. The portions were ample, prices were reasonable, and the quality of the food was absolutely excellent. The owners really pay attention to detail. For example, they use Riedel glassware for serving their wines, which shows hem to best advantage. The space is attractive and intimate. We highly recommend the Indigo Crow, and will return the next time we're in town! Pros: Thumbs up! Great Wine List, Great Food, Great Atmosphere and Service! more

Don't go! 9/24/2007

A few years back we considered this one of the best restaurants around Albuquerque. Went back for my husband's birthday and it was HORRIBLE! The wait staff was non existent most of the evening, not attentive at all and the food was bland, bland, bland. I could have made a much better meal at home!!!! Pros: Atmosphere more

Excellent menu, service is just a bit slow 10/14/2006

I had the Ahi sandwich for brunch and it was wonderful. I also suggest their soup specials.I can hardly wait to go there this week for dinner, the selections seem out of this world. I'll report back! Pros: menu selections and preparations Cons: service was good but a little slow more

We stumbled upon this great place a year ago...at first, enjoyable, then a tradition! The owner is pleasent and cordial, staff friendly and efficient, food unique. The Thursday wine dinners are wonderful and a nice break from the noise and hustle of the chain joints. Sadly, this may become a tourist attraction and become crowded...we hope not! For a relaxing dinner in a small and attractive atmosphere, this is a treat! I'd advise that everyone stay away...it is our special place! ;-) more
