India Quality was my main stop for Indian food when I lived in Boston. Located close to downtown and Boston University, IQ has tastey food, as spicy or mild as you ask for, with a smallish, laidback, dining area that is still fancy enough that you might feel you should remove your Red Sox cap. The lamb tikkamasala is so tender. Try their kormas as well. They also have a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Food is served in traditional Indian way. Tasty authentic Indian food that is reasonably priced. I love the vindaloo dishes. There is nothing like some pratha bread with some spicy hot curried lamb on it and some long grain rice. Great portions and ambiance (the outside of the restaurant makes it look decievingly trashy). Highly recommended. more

I have to admit that the name turned me off for quite some time. A quality establishment shouldn't have to advertise that. I eventually tried it out as part of my quest to find the best Indian food in Kenmore. I would go so far as to say that I found the best in the city. Many flavorful options make it possible to order a different delicacy every time. I prefer the Aloo Palak, tender baby potatoes cooked in spicy green spinach. My boyfriend always picks the Chicken Muglai; he swears is the best meal he's ever eaten. Round out the meal with tandoori breads, basmati rice, and homemade chutney and you have yourself a true dining experience. Don't forget about the spectacular service... the waiters will make you feel instantly comfortable, the food is always out so quickly and your water glass will be constantly refilled.
