The Improper Bostonian publishes a neighborhood bi-weekly publication that is offered for free at kiosks around the city. This magazine is good at telling young people what is going on in the city, what new hotspots are opening, where to eat, and tips on local lifestyle. The articles tend to be poorly written, but I must say they've added several senior staff that have better writing skills than in the past. The social-life suggestions are interesting, but readers should beware that paid advertisements in this magazine can look like word-of-mouth articles. Not the most trustworthy, but a good source of information about Boston's scene.
