I am moving out my apartment and looking to get rid of my dining room furniture which includes a large table, 6 chairs, a leaf, and a china cabinet that is in great condition. I thought about selling it, but eventually decided to donate it instead. When I called impact thrift they said that they only do pickups a few times per month and luckily I was able to get off work to be home in the middle of the day when they came, but it was a waste of time. They were on time but when the two guys got here they took one look at my furniture and after staring at it for a few minutes said that it would take took long to dissassemble and move and they had other pickups to make that day. When I moved it into my apartment it was fully assembled and the truck they brought was a full sized 18 wheeler, so it seemed to me that they were making excuses and did not want to haul the heavy pieces. When I originally called to make the pickup I told them that it was a heavy job and they said that was not a problem, so I am very disapointed and stuck with this furniture that I don't have room for. Just be wary if you have large peices to donate, they may not take them even if they say they will.
