we have eaten at Illiano's at least 7 times and the food and service have always been wonderful, and we have recommended this place to many of our friends. My how fast things can change. We wanted pizza tonight, and there was no question where we would go. We ordered the same pizza we always get, the special 5 topping pie with pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms, and green peppers. After waiting 45 minutes for our pizza, and long after our salads were gone, the pizza finally arrived. It was lukewarm at best, and as I removed the first slice the grease and water mixture underneath the pie just ran out and almost overflowed the pizza pan. The crust was so soggy that the slice just fell apart. I realize that a five topping pizza might have a lot of liquids sometimes, but it has never been served to us like this. It seems the pizza sat somewhere for a while, cooling down considerably and allowing the toppings to ""sweat"" so to speak. It looked awful. I can't say it tasted bad because we never took a bite. We showed it to the waitress and she looked shocked and immediately returned it to the kitchen where all the other waitresses just gawked at it. We watched as they showed it to the owner/manager, whatever he is, and he just shrugged. When the waitress returned we just told her we were going somewhere else because we were starving by this time. We went up to the counter where, instead of apologizing and offering to comp the salads and drinks, the dude charged us over 12.00 and never said I'm sorry, come back, nothing. We explained to him why we were cutting our meal short and he copped an attitude and got real rude. We told him we would never be back again and he just said ""OK, that's fine."" He just totally dismissed the fact that he had an unhappy customer and he didn't care enough to try to ""make it right"". As bad as the food was, his attitude was the real killer. My advice, don't waste your money on this place.
