Very dissapointing and upsetting experience. Got a quote for two crowns over the phone and scheduled an appointment for cleaning next week. Told them that I would like to think about the crowns, but would like to keep the cleaning appointment. Got a call back from the office 10 minutes later, cancelling my appointment and telling me to go back to my other dentist. I find this strange that a dentist gets offended by a patient wanting to think about finance side of an expensive procedure. Very rude and UNAMERICAN! Pros: null Cons: null more

Dr. Rodd has worked on crowns, bridges, fillings and cleaning an he has always been a perfectionist about every procedure. You will never feel rushed and can count on an awesome job. Tell all of your friends, this is a man that you can count on being there for you. more

What are the magazines for? There is no waiting! 1/3/2011

Dr Rodd is a fantastic Dentist in Dana Point. His is the only medical office I have ever been to that starts the appointments ON TIME!!! Every time I go into the office for my appointments the office staff greets me warmly and is ready for me! I look forward to going to Dr Rodd because its never a waste of time! :) more

Most Gentle, Down to Earth and Pain free Dentist ! 1/3/2011

Dr. Rodd is a breath of fresh with his old school, hands-on, gentle, no pain, style. He explains everything in detail and doesn't try to upsell more than is needed or required. After years of over-priced dentists who are obviously trying to push patients into expensive alternatives, he offers aforrdable options, has a very gentle, caring approach. He is a great dentist !! more

I met Dr Rodd 10 years ago through 2 friends. Since then, he has never steered me wrong with his exceptional care. He is kind, unassuming, gentle and humble all while doing a stellar job at keeping your smile the best it can be. If you are in need of a Dentist or on the fence between dentists, this is your guy. What a fantastic dentist! I've been with Dr. Rodd for many years now and he never stops to amaze me during my visits. Not only is he meticulous and professional in his work, he also provides a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere and makes you feel safe (as safe as one can feel in a dentist's chair). Aside from my regular cleanings and check-ups, I've also had fillings and veneers redone that other places have managed to screw up. The office staff complements the Dr. and his office very well. more

Dr. Rodd is the cream of the crop. I didn't think doctors (much less dentists) could actually have a personality. Beyond his thorough, precise, and surprisingly comfortable practice, he is a hoot! Hilarious and fun. He genuinely cares about each patient, chats like an old friend, and gives such fair prices; you leave feeling all around refreshed. Oh- and the massage chairs are a fantastic addition. more

As a senior I've moved around quite a bit and over the years have visited several dentists of varying capabilities. Probably prompted by poor dental habits as a child I had experienced ongoing problems with my teeth. More than a decade ago I discovered Dr. Rodd and with regular visits since then dental problems have virtually disappeared. My wife is also a patient of Dr. Rodd and we both strongly recommend his friendly approach and his unquestionable competence. more

Dr. Rodd is an artist 11/16/2010

After 10+ years it was time to replace a frontal bridge that came after a nasty hockey accident. While I was at it, Dr. Rodd recommended matching veneers on either side for a consistent and natural look. This included making sure everything, from the materials to the shaping was an exact match. My results were outstanding. Dr. Rodd pays attention to details and that made all the difference for me. I highly recommend Dr. Rodd if you're picky about your appearance. more
