I have always had dogs, and lived in 6 different states from small towns to large cities like Indianapolis, IN.\r Huntingdon Animal Clinic & it's staff are by far the best vets I have ever used in 40+ years! \r They genuinely care about my dogs and they take the time to show it. They will get right down on the floor and play with them while they are examining them & they always let me know what the options are before treating.\r They have always been concerned about the cost of medicines as well as the treatment, and if they know of a more efficient medicine that can be used they recommend it. \r \r To the person accusing them of killing her dogs. You need to get a grip on life first off you let your dog ingest poison and then blame the vets office for "killing" it. And on top of that you said they overdosed your 11 yr old dog and caused it to die of liver failure.\r OK the dog was 11 yrs old, don't you think it may have had issues with it's liver due to age? \r But what I really find amusing more

Excellent They deserve five star. I read some comments that were negative I found in any field of med you will save some and lose some. I have recieved out standing professional service every time I called or walked in with my companions. I travel like a lot of other clients quite a distance because I find the vets are concerned and knowledgeable on solving the present issue my dog is there for. Keep up the good work! more

BEWARE - my daughter took her pitbull to this vet b/c the doc was in labor but not delivering the puppies. They performed a c-section and ALL PUPPIES DIED ALONG WITH MY DAUGHTER'S DOG (who was only 4 years old). NEVER TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. When asked about the vet charges paid for a dead dog, they pretty much said "TOUGH LUCK". BEWARE - BEWARE - BEWARE more

With 11 dogs & 1 cat there are no finer vets in the state. Only great service, low price & friendy atmosphere. Anyone that negatively revies this Vet Clinic is off base & has not had much vet experiences.Rste them AAA more

I have been taking my shih tzu there for the past five years....she has various health problems, and they always see her as a walk in, get to her right away, and talk to me about options. I have called the emergency number before and received a lot of help when my dog has been sick at odd times. Recommended for anyone in the carroll county area. more

Huntingdon Animal Clinic vets are the only ones we use for our horses, donkeys, mules, goats, cats and dogs. We are very particular about who cares for our animals and in my opinion, they are the best. We live 36 miles away and wouldn't use anyone else. I am very pleased with the fact that they provide their own emergency care. We had a 3 week old foal that was unable to get up. They sent some big vet techs out to help us load him and the mare for transport to the clinic. Dr. Mincher offered to send us to someplace like Rood & Riddle, but we preferred to have him treated at Huntingdon. She diagnosed him immediately with Botulism. They went to work on him right away and we drove to Lexington,KY and back to bring the antitoxin so he'd get it sooner. She was with him almost constantly, tube feeding, assessing, etc.until after midnight, Despite her and our best efforts, he died - the botulism worked too quickly. No one could have given him any better care than Dr. Mincher. She cried with more

My dog, a year old feist, accidentally ingested some mole poison peanuts. I called the ER number because it was after hours, on a Saturday. I was told if she was vomiting that was a good sign and to give her pepto for her stomach. They didn't even let me bring her in! By 3 a.m. the next morning she was having violent seizures and she finally made it to the vet after I called hysterical. He worked on her for 3 hours and put her in the "hospital" and left. He only went to check on her a few times on Sunday (May 9, 2010). The last time I saw her was at 2:30 pm that day. Her IV bag was empty and she was cold and her breathing was labored. He said he had to leave to go deliver a mare an hour away! She ended up dying.\r \r Now, everything I read on the poison she ingested said immediate care was needed and aggressive treatment and steady monitoring. That wasn't the care I got. Just called to get the cost for a horse castration and the receptionist was very rude. Because I asked her to repeat something she fairly shouted into the phone. I had to ask 3 different times to get her to tell me what a trip charge would be to make a farm call. She ended the conversation by hanging up...no thanks for calling, would you like to schedule, did I answer your question...NOTHING. Just CLICK!! Wow, how do people stay in business?? more

I have never taken my dog there when they were not extremely sensitive and attentive to his and to my needs. It is an absolutely wonderful place to take your pets. The vets and their aides are very knowledgeable and take care to explain procedures to me so that I can understand. With the cost of pet care skyrocketing, they have kept their prices quite affordable. They are kind and compassionate with the pets, and would recommend them to anyone looking for care for any of their pets. more
