Nice gift shop 11/13/2005

Our family ahs been to Howe's Caverns many times over the years, and ithe natural wonder of it never xceases to amaze us. it always seem to change and there is always something new to see. Our favorite stop is at the gift shop where they carry tons of items depicting the natural beauty of the caverns and also many small rock type trinkets. The prices are a bit high, but you expect that at a gift shop of this nature. more

Nice way to cool off in the summer 11/12/2005

This is a groupin of natural caves that are located below ground. So it's an excellent idea for a family day trip during the hot months of summer. You have to use an elevator to get down to the caves, but they are awe inspiring creations of nature that keep changing little by little over the years. They have a river ride that you can take through many of the caves, and on your way out you can stop at the gift shop for something to remember your visit. The price isn't too bad for a good educational family experience. more

DO NOT miss this!! 11/12/2005

Every summer we take the kids to Howe's Caverns for a special family trip. The natura underground caves are an awesome experience to see. They also ahve a river ride where you can sit back and relax while enjoying the spendors of nature. The gift shop is a bit pricey, but they have alot of interesting natural rock items in there. more

A do not miss natural attraction 10/31/2005

This is a sure fire summer trip for our family every year. In July it's a welcome respite from the heat as you take the elevator down into the caverns you will notice the difference in temperature immediately. The stalactites and stalagmite formations are utterly awe inspiring visions only nature could create. The leisurely boat ride down the underground river is a relaxing way to enjoy any hot summer day. more

Fun day trip! 9/8/2005

This is one of my favorite attractions in the area and makes a fun day trip! Be sure to visit on a warm summer day, so you will really experience the benefits of the cool cave air. The tour guides are always entertaining and informative and the tour is always fun - and includes a boat ride on the underground stream. Beautiful to look at and a great learning experience for the whole family. more

Come explore the underground 8/19/2005

Looking for a way to cool off during the dog days of summer? Why not spend it underground. This is New York's second most visited attraction. After taking an elevator ride down, you will feel the change in temperature. On the tour you will go though windy passages, large "rooms", and take a boat ride down the Venus river. The tour lasts about 80 minutes. Don't miss it if you are in the area. more
