This park is great for families with younger children. The admission is cheap and the pool is designed exclusively for toddlers, so you don't have to worry about your baby being run over by a rambunctious big kid.
It has a big playground in the middle of the pool that has tunnels, slides, and water guns. There is also a water mushroom off to one side. The pool is shallow around the edges and gets gradually deeper towards the center so it's appropriate for children who aren't sure of themselves in the water. There are picnic tables in the fence. Just outside of the pool is a playground, so Howard Moore is a great place to spend a long, lazy summer day.
The only drawback is that the hours in the summer are too limited. In August, the hottest time of the year, they went to weekends only to try to conserve water. They also close when school starts back up, which is ridiculous because the pool isn't designed for school age children anyway.
