What happened?? 9/21/2010

Q Bar used to be one of my favorite places to go out!!The service used to be great and the atmosphere...well, hot!! I went recently with some friends from out of town and even though we had a table reserved, there were other people sitting there. The table was dirty and our bottle service not ready. The new hostess made a very poor impression on all of us. The service was pretty bad, but what really turned us off was the quality of the people. Last summer, when we used to come every other weekend, the crowd was fun!! now it's...ghetto! Do all strippers hang out now at the Q?? Starting with the huge unfriendly bodyguards, whose only business seem to be getting phone numbers, and the chewing-gum hostess, to the dirty tables...horrible!!Whatever Q bar used to have..it's certanly gone to trash. I am sorry; it used to be the hottest spot in NM. more

Q Bar Biggest Scam in Albuquerque 6/4/2010

You will wait for hours to get in and when you do you can expect expensive drinks and rude/slow service. This place makes it's money on the hype that it's created. If you don't want to wait you have to buy your way into the VIP section. There you can expect to pay $275 for a bottle of absolute vodka and some juice. You must wait until the waitress serves you or she'll yell at you, but she comes along only once in a blue moon. Then when you are done they bring a police officer over and tell you to leave because you are too drunk. Now I know what this sounds like, but I've never been kicked out of a place because a friend was dozing off in the comfy VIP couch after a full week of work. I'm sure that they realized we weren't spending enough and so wanted us to move along. If you want to know what a horrible club is like in the big cities then Q-Bar is right for you! Pros: The house band is fun but it is kitch 80's music Cons: Long line, bad service, rude service and expensive more

Best in Albuquerque 7/20/2009

This place undoubtedly is the hottest club in town. Great atmosphere .. cool variety of music ... HOT crowd and excellent staff. I eat here a lot and they do a superb job on a large cross-section of cuisine. the location is perfect and parking is nearly unlimited. I recently moved here from a much larger city where entertainment was everywhere. Albuquerque has some growing to do .. but QBar definitely stands alone foe class, value and fun! more

It is literally adjacent to several great museums and art galleries, jewelry and shops featuring Native American pottery, paintings, and sculpture for sale, and the beautiful Old Town Plaza and Church. Close by is the City Aquarium, Botanical Gardens, and Rio Grande Zoo. It is also just a few blocks off I-25 and near downtown. Pros: Q Bar, Cafe Plazuela, Wedding Chapel more
