For a great cause.. but a little pricey 9/7/2006

The Hospice Thrift Store can offer some great finds if you're willing to shop around and come back and check out what has come in often. Some of the items are like new, while others can be pretty well used so you have to be picky. I do think that they are somewhat overpriced for what you're buying, especially when compared to other used/thrift stores in the area. It's pretty much a hit or miss kind of deal... some days it's worth stopping in and others you just sort of rush through and rush out again. They also only accept cash and I believe sometimes checks but no credit/debit cards, so come with money! more

I shop there for "finds" every week. It is clean and friendly. Some prices are very high and they seem not to move too much inventory since I see the same things all the time. Otherwise, I don't mind shopping there. Prices are a little high. They aren't all that organized, but once you start going there, you get used to their set up. They do not take credit cards, only cash and checks. more
