Dr. Hooks and his clinic hold a great place in my heart. I have been visiting Hooks' Pet Clinic in martin for many years. Not only has he always given my family and I great service, but he also goes out of his way to provide care to his patients! I am a breeder of AKC registered Rough Collies and have taken numerous puppies to him which were hanging in the balance of life and death and have gotten amazing results! He always knows my pets by name and is wonderful when it comes to the value of his services. There have been many times when I have been tight on money or had to have an animal procedure performed when he worked with my budget and helped me get through those difficult times. This is just one of the things that makes him an amazing Veterinarian. He is the only Vet I have ever been to who has an emotional attachment with every animal that comes into the clinic. Dr. Hooks and Mrs. Pat ( his wife) are two of the sweetest most kind-hearted people I have ever met. Doc takes the time and effort to help your pets and will not give up until he knows how to cure it! Other vets DO respect him. He DOESN'T have messes. He goes out of his way to take care of animals. I personally have seen other vets just take one look at your pet and try to get you out as soon as possible, Doc on the other hand takes the time to look at EVERY detail and is very observant! So DO take your pets to see him if you want your pet well taken care of :)!!!! DON'T lisen to a vet tech who has a pity story and says a cats guts were falling out! more

Dr. Hooks is a great veterinarian. He came in to visit my dog after hours to make sure my dog was doing well after surgery. Dr. Hooks really cares about his patients and is always prepared to spend as much time with us as we need. My dog has fully recovered from his leg injury and is acting 100% again. \r \r I can not thank Dr. Hooks enough. do your self a favor and stay away from this place! i have had several dealings with him, and this last one took the cake! i am a german shepherd breeder, and i also am a vet tech, but he doesnt know it. i have bred dogs for a long time. i know alot about dogs and no a quack right off the bat. \r i had one of my puppys sold to a guy, and it got hurt, so he took it there, said it has a hairline fractor, (the pup is now 9weeks old)\r ther is a little mark were the amilical cord was and told my client, it was a hernia, and never breed him, and get him fixed as soon as possible! needless to say, the man charged 200.oo no cast just pain meds, and xray, this was 2 days ago, pup is up running around and is fine, we are demaning the exray's + he said he didnt say all of that.\r well i no this to be true,cause my last dealing with him was when i took one of my shepherds in when she was 5months old, cause one of her ears wasnt standing up, he told me it was broke! and not to breed her, that all of more

Dr Hook has done a great job in this area taking care of his patients. He has the best staff and most up to date equipment. They do everything from boarding your pets to cleaning their teeth. PROS: he is the best around, large hospital, large yard to walk dogs in. CONS: I can't think of any. more
