Hometeam Pest Defense

I worked for this company and years ago they were a good company to work for,but about three years ago they changed management at the Raleigh branch and things went to hell .they hire the old service manager as branch manager in turn he hired a friend as service manager with no experience after pushing the managers out .all but three of the original group of pest techs have quit because of lack of knowledge showed by new managers. if you have any sense you will find another company to do your pest control. more

\r Hometeam is definitely shady. Randy Pope and Richard Porterfield are racist and have pretty much corrupted the Raliegh ,NC branch. The VP - Shoemaker is dubious as well. The Taexx system is a ripoff and they are starting to hire documented child molesters in the Raliegh area now. They are sending out automated messages to their customers, letting them know that they are starting to hire convicted sexual predators as a rehabilitation program that they are working with... I hate this company. They have the worst customer service of any other business I've ever dealt with. If you call with a simple question, you'll talk to people who are annoyed they have to speak with you, and they'll transfer you around endlessly. You'll leave voicemails and they will never be returned. \r \r You'll probably talk to someone named Donna, who is a total jerk. You would think that for someone who works in customer service, she would be a little bit pleasant. She is consistently in a terrible mood and never treats you with respect or kindness. Donna, if you happen to read this, please know you are 99% of the reason that I'm switching to another termite company. \r \r On top of all this, they call me all the time trying to upsell me on their services, along with sending a ton of junk mail. So annoying! more

They can be very annoying. I've not had a good experience with them. If you do not want to renew, they force the renewal penalty on you or charge you for an extra month. If you refuse to pay that, then they just just release the collection agency dogs behind you. Just a very annoying experience. I'll NEVER do business with theses leaches again. Stay Away! This company told me they would protect me against insects and I agreed to a 1 year contract. Soon after I agreed, they called asking me for more money to protect against termites which are insects. I called their local number repeatedly to cancel my service and never got a person but left voicemails to cancel my service. A month later, I see a sign in my yard that they were here and got a charge from them on my CC. I was livid and called the corporate office since the locals would not answer. The corporate offices told me that I would be charged a $79 early termination fee. I told them about calling several times to cancel prior to when they came out without my consent but they did not believe me. Calls to the local office went ignored. I started recieving colletion notices and threats to my credit rating. I have a 800+ credit rating so I paid these bastards $79 for nothing. The local office will not respond to you if you chose this company so STAY AWAY! My opinion. Pros: null Cons: null more

I have the termite warranty, and the pest control, and have had them for four years. They are not the cheapest in town, but you get what you pay for. more
