Our heater was having trouble starting (and its only 4years old)...it just couldn't come on and stay on. We had to make a call on a Sunday night ... by the time the tech arrived, the heater turned on. We felt bad that we had to call so late, but we knew there was an issue. Being that it was working, it was hard to diagnose. So we were told to listen for when it would do it again and we were informed that there was a red light "problem" indicator on the unit...and that when it does it again, to see how many times it flashed. So we heard it again on Tuesday night...this time we videoed the unit trying to start up and showed the red flashing light. We called again for an emergency call. This time, when the tech arrived, it wasn't working, so he got to see and hear for himself the issue. He diagnosed it as the motor was bad. He said he would order the new one in the morning...and he did and was back at our home on Wednesday to install it.
Thanks to all involved...from the emergency scheduling, to the tech coming out, to the diagnosis and the repair...everyone took very good care of us and we felt were genuinely concerned with helping us get the heat back on!
