I am a struggling RC helicopter pilot. Looks fun but very difficult and you'll discover very quickly that you'll learn to be a good mechanic before you become a good pilot. That's the one reason you DON'T want to buy on-line. You're going to need parts and advice. Hobby World has both. They're a pleasure to deal with and prices are very reasonable. more

Best hobby shop ever 2/23/2011

Good inventory, very knowledgeable staff. Internet pricing is always matched or less without paying frieght! Great service after the sale also. Quality repair work at reasonable pricing a bonus. Good ol' mom-n-pop hobby shop. more

Great Store Great People 11/21/2009

I almost purchased a product on line but a friend directed me to Hobby World. I ended up purchasing it at the store for about 10.00 less then the online price. Later on I ended up having problems with something I did purchase from the internet instead of the store and they still helped me with it. I'm a loyal fan now and if they can get it I'll buy it from them instead of going online! Pros: Knoledgeable and Professional Cons: Smaller business more

decent selection, OK-overall 11/10/2005

I've been shopping at Hobby World for years now, and I have to say that although it is a smaller business, it has plenty to offer. The employees know the Hobby business, but sometimes it seems as though it is a chore to consult a customer. However, I don't mean to bash the store, as I will always support a small business over a mega corportation. Prices are higher than a chain store, but this is to be expected, and for me it is accepable. more
