Hms Property Management

We had several questions before we signed the contract that they told us not to worry about. Well we have dealt with other property management companies that were trustworthy & honest....maybe my fault for believing that this company had ethics. We moved in...they had the water turned off, the gas turned off & the phones not working. When I say this I dont mean that service was not on, I mean the main gas pipe was disconnected & the water main was turned off at the main. We called for a service call, the maint. man was rude & put out by this request. This was going into the weekend. I called & was treated very badly, like it was our fault. They were very specific that we had to keep up the landscaping but when we moved in the sprinklers did not work, there was broken pipes, broken heads & the grass was dead, plants were dead. There were several problems with the house that they did not disclose that we were suprised that they did not tell us! We called out pg&e for the pipe that was disconnected, they found that the heater filter was so dirty that there was no air flow. We have only been here for 1.5 months....I can keep going and going. The property manager was on vacation so nobody wanted to help me. Very miserable & counting the days before our contract is up. I hate saying this but if you are reading this & considering doing business with this company, RUN! Very nice until you sign contract. Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything more

They never respond to your maintenence requests. There employees are so rude and dishonest. One of there employees STOLE my identity, had created credit cards in my name! The employee was fired, but now the company won't take any responsibility nor will they appologize for what had happened. They're trying to tell me they have no knowledge of the alleged accusations! Not only that, but now thay want to fight with me about my deposit. I'm having to move out due to my identity being stollen by there employee, there empolyee that was my neighbor, and they want to argue with me about my deposit! After all this went down, and i had to fight with the company about whether or not I opened the credit card myself and just added a stranger's name as being ok to use it, i never even threatened to contact a lawyer or take them to court or threatened to cause problems for them. you'd think after all the problems they've caused me they'd be a little nicer due to the circumstances. Pros: nothing good about this company Cons: they'll steal your identuty and then try to blame you for them having stolen it more
