Hitching Post -hmm 1/23/2007

We were directed to the Hitching Post from another antique mall in town. Being told they had a large variety of furniture we were eager to check it out. There is a separate building which hosts furniture then all their other antiques. The 'other antiques' were lovely and in a nice building. The furniture building was a huge hazard. I was shocked to see how these antiques were taken care of and such poor shape. Furniture was stacked one on top of the other. You even walk around 90% of the building because there weren't any walk ways. There was 'trash' not antiques everywhere. I highly recommend looking elsewhere if you are looking for nice antique furniture. Happy Shopping! more

An oldie but a goodie 3/27/2006

The Hitching Post is a collection of smaller booths individually owned. There is such a range of items and prices. Some vendors specialize in tools, dolls, toys, glassware, you name it. They do have a flea market a couple times a year which brings people from all over. There isn’t much for parking so during the flea market weekends, everyone ends up the farmer’s field. more
