I brought my Honda Mower in for a tune-up and was quoted "around $100.00" and told they would call me when it was ready (approx. 5 days). Ten days later, I call them and he says let me check. "Oh, it will be ready by the end of the day." When I got there my bill was $178.00! I asked them why and he said that they had to replace the carburator (it wa cheaper to replace it than rebuild it). I asked if it was their plolicy to repair/replace items without calling the customer to get permision to proceed with the repair. I was told......"well.......it needed to be done".
