Best

when i first arrived to the hotel, i didnt think that it would be all that good, judging from the outside.\r but i was wrong...\r the rooms were spacious and clean, with a touch...

Worst

Went there on business and found it to be very nice hotel with good views and prime location. Just be sure you double check all charges when using debit/credit cards for payment....

Worst F&B Department 8/4/2010

Recently stayed at the hotel for business. Dirty plates scattered the halls from room service as I checked in to my room. The next day's breakfast in the restaurant could be described as busy but with scattering staff with little to no direction. The event I attended was routinely disturbed by clattering silverware and breaking dishes by the banquet staff. Despite these incidents I attended dinner in the restaurant with colleagues. I could see why the restaurant would be nearly empty. Our party did not receive great service and there was no manager present to voice our concerns. Unfortunately these issues shadow what would seem to be a nice property. more

Cool hotel 1/25/2009

when i first arrived to the hotel, i didnt think that it would be all that good, judging from the outside.\r but i was wrong...\r the rooms were spacious and clean, with a touch of luxury. the people there were really nice as well.\r it's a typical city hilton. it's a small hotel, but has everything that hilton could offer. more

Nice Hotel, Be careful of charges 2/20/2008

Went there on business and found it to be very nice hotel with good views and prime location. Just be sure you double check all charges when using debit/credit cards for payment. They told me I would be charged $100 deposit for incidentals and I did not realize until after I checked out that they had actually charged $300. This was not an isolated event as the same thing happened to a co-worker who was on the trip with me. They also charged my card for mini bar purchases even after I refused the key, and for parking even though I did not drive. These charges were eventually reversed but the hassle of it all would make me hesitant if considering to stay there again. Pros: Nice clean hotel Cons: Shady billing practices more

awful management: avoid 11/13/2006

Be very wary of this hotel. I stayed there for a business conference. I was booked for two nights for the conference. After the first night, the cleaning staff came into my room and made the very bizarre decision that I must have intended to check out because there wasn't very much left in the room. In fact, all of my toiletries, my overnight bag (I live near Boston so I didn't have that much), my books, and some clothes were left in the room. So they checked me out a day early. I came back to learn that I had to recheck back into the hotel. More importantly, they could not locate almost any of the items they had taken out of the room and still can't (they found only some library books which must have been removed from the bag they were in because they couldn't find the bag). While they did try to make up for the extreme inconvenience by comping me dinner and breakfast in the hotel, the management, especially the general manager, has been condescending, unapologetic, and rude in its handling of the situation. The items left were fairly small but still I would be very wary of a hotel that has the policy of taking items out of guests room who are supposed to be checked in the coming night and wary of hotel managed by someone as poor as this manager. The staff under him was much more apologetic and sympathetic of my situation. The poor management is also reflected, for instance, in the fact BOTH of the phones in my room did not work and it wasn't until I complained about the former situation that a technician was sent up to fix them (almost a full day after my initial complaint when I first arrived). While the rooms are spacious, it seems to me that my situation wasn't an isolated problem but reflects the general mismanagement of this hotel. BE WARY! more

Best location for business turning into pleasure 7/9/2006

Loved this place. Been here once before for business, and came back with the family on a recent weekend. Rooms are quite large, our room overlooked gorgeous views of Boston's skyline - not a typical city hotel viewpoint. Loved it. And the kids loved the room - huge. High ceilings, very comfortable beds, and we easily fit the cot in it - tons of room. We loved it because of the great location and the service - car service was prompt, kids kept room service busy and all were totally gracious. We spent a lot of time in the city - bits and pieces of Freedom Trail, and then to Faneuil Hall/QUincy Market, and then to the harbor cruises. All right there. Just turned into a Hilton recently - we'll be back! Pros: great location, reasonable price, excellent service Cons: that we had to leave! more

Wyndham 11/22/2005

This hotel is perfect for the business traveler. I ordered room service during my stay here, and the food was surprisingly good. The rooms arent very quiet during the night. You wont be treated like royalty here, but you sure will be treated adequately. Some of the staff here were kind of unfriendly, even rude, here. more

I drive by and its nice 10/5/2005

I have never stayed here but from the looks of it they seem like a decent place to come sleep at and fun to. I do not know anyone who has but I like the view they have. I guess you could call or look them up online. more

Nice Hotel 10/1/2005

I had a colleague stay here and she enjoyed it. Has a nice cozy lobby and comfortable rooms. The location is nice because you can walk to Downtown Crossing, Post Office Square and Faniuel Hall. Not bad for those who want to the see the city without the price tag. more

A great place to stay 5/17/2005

One of the very best places to stay in Boston. The hotel is right in the downtown, an easy walk from downtown and overlooks charles river. You'll get very nice view from most of the rooms. Be sure to ask for one with a view. I have stayed at this hotel many times and have never been disappointed. Their service is great and they have a very good restaurant. If you are there, try their burgers and rosemary chicken. more
