We had a great experience. Jeremie was our waiter and he was knowledgible and attentive. My wife had the Scallops au gratin and polenta and loved it. I had the Haystack Crab and Lamb Chops. Great scenery, friendly service, and good food. This is a nice place to relax and enjoy a nice meal. I travel through the area for business and have been very happy with my find here. In my experience the staff has been friendly and attentive and the food has always been good. I've especially enjoyed the lamb, steak, ahi tuna and potatos. This is becoming my staple spot for every trip I make through the area. I look forward to trying out the rest of their menu. The Hilltop really is a lovely setting, but I will never go there again. \r \r After years of giving them the benefit of the doubt for slow, inattentive service and mediocre food, the meal that put us over the edge was the night they served us moldy applesauce. \r When this was brought to the server's attention his comment was, ""Oh."" \r No offer to bring something different. \r No apology. \r No explanation - although it is hard to imagine an acceptable explanation. \r No offer to bring it to the management's attention. \r Just, ""Oh."" \r \r Believing that owners may not be aware of problems if no one tells them, I wrote a letter. \r You guessed it - no phone call - no letter - no response at all. \r \r I can only assume that they don't care at all about customer service or the freshness of their ingredients. \r more
