Great upgrade to our backyard\r \r By rysamson on April 25, 2013\r \r My wife and I purchased a home last year with a mediocre backyard. Spanish tile were laid unprofessionally, to the point that weeds as tall as young children grew in between them. No amount of sweeping ever made us feel that our backyard was clean enough to walk barefoot on. So, enough was enough.\r \r By on April 24, 2013\r \r Had Easy Turf lawn installed in my patio entrance to my brand new townhouse-AMAZING!! The first steps on the grass were better than stepping on new carpet for the first time! Love the ease of maintenance and the great fresh look the lawn brings! Great investment that is sure to add value to my home. more

I had my fence replaced by Hill Horticulture of San Antonion in October 2010. When I finally started staining the fence, I noticed the fence was swaying and showed signs of termite damage. They came out and told me that becasue of the heat and the lack of water, the support was becoming weak. They came out and straightened the fence and recommended that I water the supports on a regular basis. They told me that they could not be held to replace damaged pickets due to termite damage. At first, I thought that the termite damage happened after the installation of the fence. It was not until after they repaired the fence,they left me 10 pickets to replace the damaged pickets. When I placed the pickets in my shed, on the same day, that is when I noticed that 3 of the 10 pickets had termite damage. When I talked to John Hill, he strongly disagreed with me that his company had defective wood in his inventory. I strongly disagree with his statement. I will not utilize this company for any of their services nor recommend them to anyone else. I believe a ""mans' word"" is very important when I do business. more

I had a very good experience with Hill Horticulture. Recently had them come out to rip out some overgrown shrubs in the front and back yard, troubleshoot our sprinkling system, trim our overgrown trees (lots of dead branches), regrade our back yard where water was pooling from roof runoff and put in a patio. They were the most competitive of the 3 bids we got and I believe we got the most for our money. They did quality work in a timely fashion and actually CARED about our satisfaction, which seems to be rare among contractors. I was also impressed that they were in good standing with the BBB. The owner is an experienced arborist and his crew did a fantastic job on my property. I am very satisfied. more
