Perfect Place - summer or winter! 7/16/2007

Summer on the patio is beautiful! Dine on scrumptious food (the walleye is awesome) overlooking the golf course, ponds, and even sit by a gas fireplace ; no road noise like other outdoor patios in the area. You'll feel like you are on vacation! But wait, there's more... even winter is wonderful, either in the quiet relaxed restaurant with a fire in the fireplace or watching a game in the pub. Best outdoor seating in the Northwest Suburbs! 7/16/2007

You don't need to play a round of golf to enjoy the view and the great food at Rush Creek! The outdoor terrace is very relaxing and the view is amazing. The portions are generous but not obnoxious like other Pub style restaurants. You also cannot beat the prices on the menu. This is the best place to end a hectic week of work and a better way to start your weekend! more

Golf or no golf, go for the food 7/16/2007

With a relaxed atmosphere and great food why go anywhere else. Your experience starts as you enter the driveway. When you walk in through doorway you are greeted by the attentive and couteous staff. Enough about the atmosphere, the food is second to none. Like I stated in the heading "golf or no golf, go for the food." If you are looking for a great steak this is the place. From the Twin Medallions to the T-Bone you won't be dissattisfied. Truely an enjoyable experience. more

Kids welcome. 7/16/2007

The Highlander has the look and feel of an upscale private country club ....without the attitude. My wife and I can bring our 3 kids with us for dinner and know that we will be welcome along with enjoying great food and service. The patio is wonderful in the summer and the main dining room is cozy in the winter. I recommend this place for all occations. more

Wonderful steaks! 7/16/2007

Had dinner there last weekend and three of us ordered the steak and we all agreed it tasted wonderful! The sweet potato souffle is a must order, it is delicious. One order of the huge yummy chocolate cake is all that is needed for four. more

I'm a golfer but didn't expect it to be such a great place to go for dinner as well. The food was fantastic and the ambiance was incredible. You don't have to be a golfer to appreciate the Highlander Pub. I'll definitely go again. Pros: fantastic food and ambience more

This is my first review. The Highlander has numerous atmospheres, each of which has a terrific view and is appropriate to your dinner plans. Their main dining room features features a rich ambiance for the intimate or formal dinner. Adjacent to the main dining room is a pub with a great menu of modern and traditional beverages. For those out for a casual dinner the outdoor patio is perfect for the summer locale. The Highlanders burgers are outstanding with variations on classic combinations. The entres are well exectued variations on general menu items and range from bar fare to fabulous steaks. This barely hidden treasure is much closer to everything than you would imagine while you are enjoying the view. From the time you enter the parking lot you realize it's definitely worth the very little out of your way you have to drive to get there. All this and service which is on a par with the most luxurius private courses. Take the extra 5 minutes and find the Highlander. You will be back more than once! Pros: Food, Ambiance, Parking, Service Cons: location a bit difficult to find more

The Highlander Pub & Restaurant is the best kept secret in town. The relaxing atmosphere with the views and pleasant music are a wonderful setting for a tasty meal & drink(s). The menu offers a great variety of entrees and beverages for all tastebuds. I can't wait to go back again. Pros: atmosphere, menu, parking, service, price Cons: none that I can think of more

Rush Creek does it all! 7/16/2007

When I want an evening with great food, a fabulous setting, incredible view, attentive service and a sunset to boot, Rush Creek has it all. It's our first choice for a great, relaxing evening that is actually renewing from the workday. We can't seem to stay away longer than a week. Rush Creek is alway our choice for wonderful, memorable evenings. We have shared alone as a couple and with many of our friends and we can't say enough about it. Excellent Service and Wonderful Atmosphere 7/16/2007

Rush Creek is perfect for my family and friends because it has superb food, a beautiful view (especially at sunset), top-notch service, and a convenient location. Even if you are not in the western suburbs it is still easy to get to and just minutes from 94. It's our first choice for a great evening out as a couple or with a group of friends, plus it is in our backyard! We have been there many times for family events (Mothers Day and birthdays) and we can't say enough about it. It is also a great place to bring the kids and they love being on the patio enjoying the view along with the rest of us. Pros: All are wonderful; if I had to pick one then: Service Cons: None more

We have been going to Rush Creek for golf & food for over 10 years and receive top quality food on a consistent basis and always enjoy the outstanding service provided by a well trained and energetic staff. Great food, great service 7/16/2007

I went to the Highlander Pub to check out the food before booking Rush Creek for my wedding reception. The food was fantastic. I went on a weekday before 6 and got a three-course steak dinner for $15. I will definitely be going back for more, and have been recommending the restaurant to everyone I know. I understand how it got it's rating as best-kept secret, too: I've lived within 10 minutes of the restaurant for years and had never heard about it until this summer. more

Rush Creek makes me feel "special" when I have dinner there. 7/16/2007

Dinner at Rush Creek is a wonderful experience. The food is always presented with such a flair of elegence. And the steaks are so tender and so flavorful. We have never waited for our table...they are always ready for you and seat you immediately. All of the people meet you with smiles and kindness. You always feel "special" when dinning there. Valentines Day is really a treat...the room is filled with rose pedals and beautifully decorated chairs...everyone at Rush goes the extra mile to make sure the customer is treated with dignity and respect.
