Hidden Hills Banquet Facility

I recently went here for a wedding. With the exception of the bartender, the entire place is staffed by clueless high school students. Twice the wait staff took my half drank drink (that I paid for), while collecting empty plates. By far the worse part was their food handling practices. The health inspector needs to shut this place down. It first started with one person at our table having fruit flies in the bottom of their glass of Jameson. Then another person at a different table had flies in the bottom of their (different kind of drink) glass. We stopped ordering drinks and started drinking only water. Until.....a few people found spiders in their cups. We complained to the bartender, but her additude....she acted as if we were suppose to have bugs in our drinks! The entire place had issues. The womens room was out of order, and the mens room had no way of drying our hands. Very disappointed in this place and their negative attitude towards their customers. more

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Hidden Hills Courtyard on 8/20/2011 starting at 6:00pm. It was PERFECT. The facility was beautiful, with lush green grass and flowers spilling out of urns around the property. The waterfall was charming, the gazebo lovely, and the pavilion was decorated nicely. The bar in the corner looked great, with sturdy wood and a tiled top, and the caterers were sure to provide the color linens and napkins I asked for, down to my specification of alternation napkin colors for each table. The servers were fast, efficient, and polite, unobtrusively asking me when they had a simple question. Several of our guests commented on how good the food was, and how generous the portion sizes. I was pleased to see the caterers bringing out ice cream and coffee/tea just after the cake cutting, with a strawberry in each dish. Guests loved the sweet rolls especially and I thought the carafes of water on each table looked so cute. The staff at Hidden Hills were accommodating to my mother, who went in to set up ahead of time, and they lit all our votives, tealights, and their torches and other candles all around the property right when dusk set in. There was plenty of parking for the guests and the big bathrooms were comfortable and pleasant. I was worried about mosquitoes bothering the guests, but I only noticed a few outside the pavilion after dark when the wedding party was entering it. Once under the roof, I didn't see or feel ONE mosquito for the rest of the evening. I was pleasantly surprised to see a colorful spinning ball near the ceiling which made the dancing/music feel like a fun club. Several guests said to me that it was the "funnest wedding" they'd ever attended. We chose Hidden Hills because it was affordable, and because the courtyard was so beautiful and unique, from the entrance arch to the gazebo to the building's stucco facade, to the roomy, yet intimate feel of the pavilion. Upon showing my coworker some photos afterward, he commented "I should have had my wedding there." I cannot recommend Hidden Hills highly enough for the great job they did in making my very special day so perfect, fun, and memorable. more

I recently attended a wedding at HH. The service was terrible. They were unprepared when the wedding party and guests arrived; tables were not even set and the area for the ceremony was not set up. There was no parking because they scheduled 3 weddings simultaneously; the tent sides were not tied down and when it rained the entire dance floor was under a huge puddle. Several guests slipped and fell. The walk to the indoor bathrooms was too far from the tent and no umbrellas, or escorts were provided. Ladies in high heels and fancy dresses had to walk through pouring rain on slippery bricks to use the restrooms. They were short staffed throughout the event. The desserts, found behind the bar, were never put out. Cake was not cut and distributed; so it all went to waste. The families had worked out every detail with the facility months in advance and just the day before went over everything, left notes and instructions in writing.
