Herskovits, Gary, Dds - Fresh Breath Ctr

I DO NOT recommend Mr. Herskovits! I wont even call him doctor because he is more of a sales man. Not only is the office dingy but I Have seen him once before and he is very pushy and rushes. I gave him a second chance to have my cavities filled. He told me that MY insurance does not cover the composite fillings. I thought ...hmm thats funny because I have always got the composite done under my insurance. He rudely rushed me and let me know I can see another dentist because he charges $150 per filling and my situation required a ""double filling."" He then told me he could not clean my teeth which I had an appointment for as well! I was very disappointed with the treatment and service and decided to call my health care provider. THEY CLEARLY TOLD ME THEY DO COVER COMPOSITE FILLINGS , NOT EVEN A COPAY WAS REQUIRED. Its a shame because I am a medical student my self and also currently a hairdresser in Bay ridge. Word will get around fast that Mr. Herskovites is not a dentist but a sales man. Word of advice always call your insurance because providers do scam. more

I went in and saw Dr. Herskovits and had a great experience. Dr. Herskovits and his assistant were so sweet and patient with me. I'm not a huge fan of the dentist, as I would think most people are not, and they made me feel comfortable even though I was really nervous and asked lots of questions. I even made it through a thing of many x-rays and it wasn't as bad as I remembered! His assistant did a great job. more

I might be a big strong man, but there's nothing I hate more then going to the dentist. I have hated going since I can remember; it scared me. What I love about Dr. Herskovits is that he is very gentle. He tells me what he is going to do before he does it so I am not caught off guard. I really appreciate that. I am very glad I have found a dentist I feel comfortable going to. And if you are scared of the dentist too, I would definitely recommend to go to Dr. Herskovits. more

The office has a really great atmosphere, makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. Dr. Herskovits knows everything. I swear there's not a question he doesn't have the answer to. That makes me feel very safe and well taken care of. more
