We took a drive to the west of Philadelphia and had a great time. One of the many fun places we visited was the Herr's Factory. There you can see how they make their many snack products. The tour starts with a quick film, then you enter various buildings and see pretzels, popcorn and cheese curls being made. The highlight of the day was the potato chip area where your tour guide goes into the factory and brings out a tray of freshly made and still hot potato chips. These are the best chips you will ever eat and they taste so much better than the ones you buy. Finally, you end up in their outlet store. There you will find souvenir's and off price items....stock up on munchies for in the car or school lunches for a fraction of the regular price. The kids have even asked to go back to this one...those hot chips are the reason!
