Dr. Matt at Herba Family Chiropractic is a very thoughtful and professional chiropractor! I have been with them since the fall of 2011 after my continued need to find a way to heal my constantly aching shoulder. As a 40 yo woman who works out in a demanding training protocol with Crossfit, I had continued problems with my shoulder - which actually was due to problems with my lower back! Now that I have been with Dr. Matt, those shoulder problems are no more and my athletic recovery has improved a lot. My children also see Dr. Matt. The office is genuinely concerned about their patients entire wellness, and will go out of their way to make sure you have the resources needed to live a healthy life. They always have open to the public education seminars about chiropractic care, healthy diet, exercise and ways to eliminate toxins in your life. I suppose for individuals who go to chiros that are more than happy to adjust every now and then for a fee, they will find the the Maximized Living and Herba Family way no to their liking, as they promote whole body wellness. I absolutely loved and continue to truly appreciate Dr. Matthew Herba at Herba Family Chiropractic. I'm a professional athlete, which entails me being on tour more days than not throught the week. Dr Herba,during these crazy hours of my hectic schedule, has come in to see me and help fix me on his OFF DAYS even! I've been a pro at my sport now for 11 years,and with that literally gone thru chiropractors like water over those years. Since committing to Dr Herba's philosophies earlier this year, I've seen my:2 bulged disks, 2 pinched nerves, and 1 slipped disk,along with multiple back spasms, all dissipate to where my pain is now manageable. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND Dr Matthew Herba and Herba Family Chiropractic to EVERYONE!! His staff is energetic, positive people who too want nothing but the best for their clients. NOT TRUE CHIROPRACTIC CARE - After my daughter was born via c-section she began having constipation issues. As I knew chiropractic care would help, I contacted the office while visiting the Orlando area. I was told that because I wasn't a regular patient that my daughter couldn't be seen! Additionally, I could contact a Maximized Living office in my area so that my THREE month old might have an X-ray done first!! Quackery! I returned home and saw a recommended chiropractor. My daughter had NO X-ray and after two visits her bowel movements were completely normal! A true chiropractor doesn't perform X-rays on people, educate yourself or get duped! more

I saw them at the Uptown Altamonte Arts Fest and spoke with a rep (actually from Thrive, their sister property). For a special rate of only $25 I was skeptical but thought not a bad idea considering I know I have issues in my back and just wanted to see the scan & X-rays for the educational fun of it. I had a guarantee that nothing further would be required. My appointment was set for 11AM. So first, I get a wake up call saying I missed my appointment for 9:45AM. I wake up (yes I don't live far and I work until very late at night) and return the call. The girl was very nice but seemed absolutely clueless about the appointment times doing her best to make excuses on behalf of her company. She made a statement about how I was supposed to get a call moving my appt to 9:45AM, at this point no big deal, I changed to 3:15PM (I chose 11AM for a reason though). She then proceeds to give me an entirely different website address for pre-screening paperwork which I've already completed from the website I was given at the time of payment. I basically tell her this is ridiculous and I'm not spending another 30 minutes doing paperwork that I already printed and completed. She said it should be fine, it's probably the same questions for both offices, all is good so we hang up. I arrive (after searching for the Marble Slab they claim they are next to on the website that doesn't exist) at 3:08PM. The office is locked, the lights are off, no one is there. The hours say afternoon hours are 3:15PM until (don't remember). At this point I'm frustrated again because it seems to me very odd that you would schedule an appt at the exact same time you're returning to the office... there should be someone there to welcome clients (it's not like I was arriving 30 minutes early). So again, I just say ""whatever"" and I sit in my car for a few minutes. No biggie right? I see an elderly woman walk up to the door and she obviously can't get in either. At 3:15PM, the office is still not open. Now I am very angry, they have managed to screw up my entire day. I started my car at 3:16PM and drove away. I left a message saying I am here and the office is closed and how dissatisfied I am with their unprofessionaism. I request a full refund and tell them I will not be returning because they have not met their end of the agreement. I request an immediate return phone call. It has been an hour and I still have not heard anything. I will be contacting the Attorney General's office and the DBPR of the State of Florida. DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY. more

A gift from God is what i was given the day I walked in to Herba Family Chiropractic in September of 2010. I had injured my back and was in so much pain when I decided to seek chiropractic care. I found Dr. Matt by searching area Chiropractors, he was the last call on my list and because of Tatiana's professionalism and incredibly polite and friendly telephone manner, he was the one I decided to have look at my back. What I didn't know was this one day would change the rest of my life. \r \r Dr. Matt is more than a Chiropractor and I know refer to him as my primary care giver, teacher, health coach and most of all, a friend. My back pain was gone after 1 week in Dr. Matt's care and shortly after I started care, I had asked Dr. Matt to help my 8 year old daughter who was having many issues with her health and walked with a strange limp. As I watched my daughter play softball with her other teammates last Fall, I realized how bad it had gotten and that she could barely run with the rest of the team. I learned to ignore a lot of her problems because I was told by numerous medical doctors that nothing was wrong. She is a very active child and when I saw she couldn't keep up with her teammates, it scared me. God definitely spoke to me that day at her softball practice and I felt compelled to call Dr. Matt and discuss her symptoms with him. He had me bring her right in to the office, took x-rays and scans and found that she had some problems that needed correction. Basically, she needed to get well from the inside out. We started going to Dr. Matt together, doing our daily exercises that he prescribed and went for our adjustments three times a week. After a month, I noticed a considerable difference in my daughter. Her limp was gone and she was running easier than she had been. By the end of her softball season, she ran with her teammates, didn't complain of any leg or foot pain and was overall starting to look better. My husband, who fractured his vertebrae 11 years ago, is now also in Dr. Matt's care and although his treatment is in the beginning stages, he feels 100% better than he did two months ago.\r \r This past February, I joined a program that Dr. Matt offered in his office called CHEW. Dr. Matt's wife, Zuleida Herba, runs the program but also has her own healthcare counseling business, Herba Counseling. I had no idea what I was getting myself in to the day I went in for my first CHEW class. Not only is it a nutritional class where you learn how to eat properly but you also gain an incredible amount of knowledge that will change the rest of your life. This class teaches about REAL nutrition while giving emotional, mental and spiritual support. Zuleida is one of the most encouraging women I know, believes that every woman can reach her health and mental goals at any age. Zuleida is my angel, friend and healthcare counselor!!! \r \r Can I possibly say anymore.......................YOU BET I CAN!!! Dr. Matt and Zuleida Herba have both completely changed my view on so many aspects of my life. They promote overall NATURAL health, are 100% supportive and are 100% involved in their patients healthcare process. My family and I have received exceptional care through DR. Matt and his staff. They have been professional and caring during our months of chiropractic care. We have already experienced great results. We are kept up to date on our progress through xrays and have seen spines that were curved severely being restored! I really like this chiropractic office. I have been to a quite a few others in the surrounding orlando area I and have not had the same experience. I had some health issues and I went into Dr. Matt's office and he took the time to explain to me what was going on and I am currently undergoing treatment. I would recommend it to everyone. I've been a patient of Dr. Matt's for over 3 years now, and prior to becoming his patient, I've also had experiences in other chiropractic offices. So I just can't let the harsh review I ran into here go unchecked. Dr. Matt and his staff are dedicated to providing their patients with the best in holistic, non-medical, non-evasive health care. The entire staff is extremely professional and thorough. I've not met a chiropractor who is more concerned about the well-being of his patients, and it shows through the process that they take you through from the minute you walk in the door. By taking time to educate each person about their specific issues, Dr. Matt ensures that every person (and their loved ones!) understands the cause of their health concerns, if, and how chiropractic can help them. Any investment you decide to make there is worth the result . My family opted to follow through with Dr. Matt's recommendations and we no longer suffer from the daily migraines, seasonal flus, and chronic allergies that we used to. We've thrown away our prescription medication. My husband and I have lost over 20 lbs each because of the educational classes on exercise, nutrtion and detox Dr. Matt has provided us with free of charge. And I personally know other patients who have seen great results, too - for example, a friend of mine (also now a lifetime patient) used to end up in the hospital on a monthly basis at a minimum with pain and symptoms the doctors couldn't diagnose...She started care with Dr. Matt and has not been back to the hospital since! Take my word that the care is affordable - he offers great incentives to get started with care, and family discounts, too. If you are looking for a holistic, pro-active solution, to your health care needs, go here! But if you don't want to engage in your own health care, become educated about the cause of your problems, and embrace a pro-active, holistic lifestyle, then this will definately not be the place for you. I can't believe how much going to Dr. Matt has changed my life -- I had serious health issues and was going to have surgery, I was on antidepressants, my health was going downhill...I was overweight, had high bp, arthritis, constant sinus troubles. A friend told me Dr. Matt could help me and he has... in just a few months I am off all meds and have lost weight too. All the things I learned about my health and my own body helped me take control of my life again! ..which is why I love the Maximized Living program -- there are so many areas of my life that needed help... and this did it for me. \r Also, the staff is friendly and they really care -- it's like family when I go there. I get loads of information about current health issues too, and I really feel like I am being proactive with my own health -- I would highly recommend anyone to go and get checked there. The fact that it is a Christian office is a bonus because it just shows how humble they are... giving God the credit for my healing, just because Dr .Matt removed the interference. ""Dr. Matt"" practices a demanding, cash-only, chiro is the ONLY way to survive in the world joke of a ""wellness center"". He will speak nice and calm and make you think he cares about you, ""your case is very severe but I can help you"". Make no mistake, his answers to your questions are calculated and manipulative- just go ask him if he takes insurance. He will convince you that his ""miracle God-like hands"" are your only chance at surviving another day. Did I mention he requires your spouse to attend an ""appointment"" with the intention of convincing your spouse that you will die and so will he without Dr. Matt's help? And then he pulls out this ridiculous treatment plan including supplements and a cash contract for thousands of dollars. All you have to do is google ""maximized living""- you know what shows up? Cult, Scam- read the message boards other victims just echo what I'm saying... This is the cornerstone of his ""treatment"". He doesn't even do a standard Chiropractic exam to see where the pain really is. Try reading your file before he walks into the adjustment ""bay""- yes that's right, anyone walking by can see you. There will be notes about an exam but he didn't do one!\r Run away! Run far far away! more

I can't really say enough about what chiropractic care has done for me. The regular adjustments keeping the pain away, the nutritional education I've received, the detoxifying of my body and living cleanly. You, I feel will want this too. Dr. Herba and his staff are aces. more
