Two Words: HAPPY HOUR 9/23/2005

If you work in or near downtown, this place is great for an after work get together. CHEAP happy hour makes ths place a great place to sit back and complain about your nine-to fve. Add a couple drinks and you can learn more about your co-workers than maybe you'd like! but its fun all the same. I recommend the sweet and sour chicken. So good. more

really busy! 9/9/2005

This is a fun place, I belive that they claim to have the most beers on tap in Portland(which says a lot). When you go for happy hour, especially in the evening, be prepared to be really agressive while looking for a table. There are so many people that come in that if you are not ontop of it and not waiting infront of the table that you want you will miss out and someone else will get it. Great gargonzola cheese fries! more

Great fun place for drinks and cheap eats! 8/10/2005

I would like to recommend Henry's 12th Street Tavern to anyone who is looking for a nice atmosphere to get a drink and some cheap food! They have high quality service, as well as a HUGE collection of beer on tap, and some of the best food in town. If you go during happy hour, appetizers (nice long list of them) are $2.50 with a drink. All in all, it's a fun place to go hang out with friends and wind down after a long day. Please try Henry's out, you won't regret it! more

Elbow room a commodity 6/23/2005

This is an official plea for the people of Portland to stop going to Henry’s! When I got there the place was so packed I could not possibly sit at the bar. Miraculously I got a beer (a dark, barley beer- they have several- try them!) and made my way up to the less crowded poolroom. The room was quiet and furnished with armchairs and pool tables – a lovely laid back hang out to sit with friends and have a beer. Despite being unable to sit downstairs, this was a great place to go with an extremely friendly staff. more
