Don't ever, ever, ever sign a contract with Heiberg Garbage!!! Heiberg's ""industry standard"" contract renews without any action on your part so unless you notify within a VERY small time window you are stuck for another two years. I received service from this company for nearly 5 years, well past the original two year contract, and they would not let me out of the contract without paying thousands of dollars in fees! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! more

I have lived in a lot of neighborhoods in Portland. This company is great. A person answers the phones, and they are very friendly. It's nice knowing they are a small company---- Leads to great service! more

Garbage cans left in the street, missed pickups when everyone else on the street has their garbage/recycling/lawn debris picked up - but not our house. Complaining to them doesn't work, neither does complaining to the city. more

I hate stupid people that comment during the worst snow storm ever more

I was thrilled Friday before last (12/19) to have the small garbage truck come by despite the snowy conditions. But - why no recycling collection that same day? I've tried to be understanding during this unusual time. However, no pick up (neither garbage nor recycling) this week - even after a plow had come through to make it easier for vehicles - makes no sense. The holiday schedule says Friday normal deliveries would be picked up on Saturday. The roads were clear yesterday (12/27), but still no pick up - even though we had made a special effort to get our VERY full cans down our steep driveway! So - when will we get a pick up??? Heiberg charges us extra when we have too much gargage. I expect no extra charges AND I also expect to get a two-week discount on my bill since they have failed to fulfill their contract. That would be fair! They should be required to have chains for all of their vehicles. more

My garbage cans have been left in the street with the lid off and tossed to the side, there has been no recycling pickup for a week, and as it's a city contract you can't change who picks up your trash! \r \r Maybe we should just dump it on their front steps for when they don't pick up? (the wonderful city of portland or heiberg, take your choice). \r \r Very nice people when you call in, but their haulers are less than to be desired. more

This service has been good for recycling and for garbage pickup, but with the snowy weather, they didn't bother to chain up their trucks and pickup recycling. So for days, all the neighborhood recycling carts have been in front of my house and left full. I called and was told they would not come out again until the next week's pickup and then only if the weather permitted.\r \r Com'on folks. I have have go to work, as do my neighbors. Get the chains on and pickup the recycling! more
