We really liked this campground, and would love to go back next summer, but we're really debating this because the owners, Mike and Chrissi, were extremely rude and did not make us feel welcome at all. In talking to other campers, they really seemed to like Mike and Chrissi, but all these campers have permanent sites, so maybe they treat those of us who are not permanents differently. I realize that having permanent sites is where you make your money owning a campground, but we were still paying ""customers"" who did not do anything to deserve how they treated us. My family has camped at many different campgrounds, and we have never experienced anything like this before. We were truly shocked at how, Mike especially, behaved towards us. Almost as if we were intruding on his campground. I do not know what Mike and Chrissi did before owing Heavens up North, but it was certainly not anything in a customer service related field. I think they both need to learn a thing or two on how to treat people. It actully makes me sad, becuase we love the city of Lakewood, and the campground is really, really nice, its just a huge dissapointment to have owners who don't seem cut out to be in this type of business. Maybe we will come back if they ever sell the place.
Pros: Beautiful scenery, nice campground
Cons: The owners are jerks
