I, too, have strayed far and wide, looking for the next great sushi restaurant. What have I found? Nothing but inconsistency - flashes in the pan. I have since returned to Hayashi - Old Faithful. The menu is not the most exotic, but it has all the staples you'd expect in a great sushi place. What's more important is how good it is, time after time. Fresh fish, well crafted rolls... always. I'm done taking my chances for a hit-or-miss sushi experience. I am sticking with Hayashi. more

So I don't know who the hell this Bsjoort Sjkoorst guy think he is, but he is completely WRONG. And a total liar. \r \r Hayashi has been placed in a very nice neighborhood, next to a Publix, NOT a strip mall. The waiters and waitresses are wonderful, and the sushi is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Actually, everything about them is great; the atmosphere there is fantastic, and when you walk in, you'll see just how lovely it really is. If I could, I'd eat there everyday. \r The owner is one of the friendliest people I've ever met, and he works very hard to please all his customers. If you're looking for a restaurant that sells GREAT food, Hayashi is definitely the place you want to go. more

Hayashi's website incorrectly lists them on being on the NORTH side of Northlake Blvd.If you follow their directions, and are unlucky enough to make the U-turn,you will arrive at a worn down, slum of a dining room in a dump of a strip mall.It is all downhill from here.\r The understaffed servers are daft, slow and incredibly rude. The sushi is not good at all,and we all know the risks of eating "OLD" raw fish dishes.\r These dopes also offer "traditional" Korean dishes. The manager, however, vetoes the ordering of these treats. It reminds me of how the Japs raped Korea during WW2.\r Do youself a favor and avoid this rathole at all costs. more

Hayashi's has it all. Great food, great atmosphere, wonderful servers. \r \r If you want a warm relaxing place to thoroughly enjoy a meal. This is it. Their Crunch rolls are incredible. When I want to get my money's worth. I always go here. more

We have been going to Hayashi for years. Every once in a while we try a new sushi place, but we've found nothing better -- fresh, beautiful, delicious food, gracious service, and not overpriced. more
